Is it possible to love dogs too much?

I think I love my dog too much. I got him a few years ago when I was going through a very rough patch, and he completely changed my life around, halting my depression and getting me out into the countryside for walks. Honestly my best friendHalo He’s such a cutie. He’s a big fluffy crazy labradoodle.

If I see another labradoodle/goldendoodle/cockapoo/sheepdog/any other fluffy dog my heart just melts.

The other day, I walked past a golden doodle and I almost cried she was so adorable!!

As long as you understand that lots of us don't even like your dog never mind love it, that's fine.

I remember the name of every dog I meet and about 10% of the people's names.

Seriously.

Even if I consciously tried to be less obsessed with dogs I don't think my subconscious would be having any of it.

I’ve had my dog for nearly a year now and all of us are so much in love with her, best decision I ever made. I love her so much that I can’t bear the though she won’t be around forever.

I definitely love mine too much. I love them so much it hurts. The guilt from whether walks are long enough, especially when they drag their heels knowing it's home time.

Attached is an awful quality photo of a photo from a fun walk last week. They're mad Smile

Ah, dogs are so loveable. I almost disliked dogs until we got one for unwell DD 5 years ago. He's the most stunningly beautiful, soft, intelligent, affectionate creature ever and j tell him I love him every day. Total convert! Can't imagine not having a fag, now.

A dog, not a fag!

Oh asta19 ..
I can relate to that .my mum was the same ,I was jealous of my dog as a child ,I used to hurt him ..when I was 5 she used to leave me home alone with my dog and I would hurt him...I carry such guilt about that.he was an amazing huge dog ,he deserved better.
This was 40 years ago so time heals x💐

Spent my once in a lifetime 60th birthday treat in Barbados worrying about these three and wishing they could be with me. When these boys go I am not getting another dog until I have all my travel out of my system.
