Monday is my birthday so hoping for a nice lay in!

notacooldad · 01/05/2019 10:50

I'm working Jill Sunday lunchtime but I've aske DP to make a picnic up if the weather is nice so I can come straight home, get change s and go out for the rest of the day.
In fact thinking about it, I could book a hotel for Sunday night as we are both off on Monday.
There's a few classic walks in Yorkshire that I have been meaning to do for ages!

Shopperami what's nice?
Ha! My post was so full of typos!
I'm not working Jill. I'm working until lunchtime!!
I know I should put my glasses on more!!

We're thinking of taking the dc to an EH place not far from us, possibly Bolsover Castle, Scarborough Castle or Whitby Abbey. They'll be absolutely rammed though if it's sunny so we might just have a picnic in the garden instead Grin

Kids still have usual activities - dancing, swimming, gymnastics. Saturday evening i'm going to see take that. Monday might take kids swimming.

Kaykay06 · 02/05/2019 11:48

No plans although nephews birthday on Sunday so might pop over for some cake!! Safari park otherwise as we have annual passes

Nottobesoldseparately · 02/05/2019 12:10

I'm doing a big shop and restocking the food cupboards on Saturday, DH is on nights so plan to do some batch cooking and restock the freezer too.

Sunday we are going to watch the tour de Yorkshire as it passes fairly close to us so will walk the dog and go meet friends for a few drinks.

Monday, I think the plan is to have a 'lazy' day pottering in the garden and house and doing little jobs that always get overlooked. It's actually far from a lazy day and we generally get far more accomplished on our 'lazy' days than any other. Or, if the weather is ok, we will go for a long walk along the river, have a couple of pints, then walk a long way back to the house!

Annoyingly my daughter had to be at college Saturday and Sunday morning for 3 hours so I will be taking her there. Its an hour away so I will just take my university work and do some revision in the car.
The rest of the weekend will be spent laying a patio

doleritedinosaur · 02/05/2019 12:15

Going to wales on the weekend to see long overdue friends.
Monday probably going to Shrewsbury for something a bit different & to get out the house. If anyone can give any tips for Shrewsbury within walking distance of railway station with 3 under 5s.

The weather is supposed to be fairly naff here so no grand plans. Easter weekend we went to the beach which was lovely but don’t think the weather will be nice enough this weekend.
