Well, just! But it’s been under 25 all week, 24.9 at the most.

I’d feel obnoxious telling everyone in real life, but allow me here please! I’ve been in the cycle of giving up the 30 day spread after a few days/ binging an starving etc for years. I’ve actually stuck to slow and steady and patience now for some time and in and up down way I’ve got here-18kg lost. I’ve changed my diet I can’t eat what I used to easily as my gut isn’t used to it.

It’s been boring and hard to have faith in at about 0.3kg a week for over a year now. So bloody slow no one notices without pictures 😂

Woohoo - well done you. Give yourself a well deserved pat on the back.

Squiff70 · 28/04/2019 16:07

Congratulations! My BMI is just under 28 and I want to lose a stone at the very least by July. You're an inspiration, thanks for sharing your good work!

Decormad38 · 28/04/2019 16:13

Well done. What weight do you want to be?

I’d like to be comfortably out the overweight bmi range even on a bloat day, and a bit more jelly belly loss (it’s still there). About 23bmi wise I think. My legs have toned well but my upper arms a bit more and my torso a fair bit more. My goal isn’t so much weight, I want my belly smaller than my hips basically. My mum is type 2 and I’m clearly one with high potential for it, I want torso weight loss and to be off refined sugar long term. Just sensible really

As someone who's been there, I know what an immense achievement this is! WELL DONE!!!

WhoAteMyNuts · 28/04/2019 16:20

Congratulations Smile. It's so hard doing slow and steady so bloody well done for keeping it up.

Wetdogloveshubert · 28/04/2019 16:23

Well done Stormei that is a fantastic achievement. This approach to a healthier life is a massive deal, you are right to be very proud of yourself!

RedCrab · 28/04/2019 19:31

Well done!!! And thank you, this is just what i need to hear. I am losing weight sooooooooo slowly but to hear you stuck it out is amazing.

purplelass · 28/04/2019 19:37

Well done Stormei !!
I just have one more pound to lose and I'll be joining you, my target is bang in the middle of healthy range...

KissMeBunty · 28/04/2019 19:42

That is so brilliant. Well done! I always absolutely starve myself in a very unhealthy weight, I have so much admiration for people who do it in a slow and steady way. So much more sustainable!

user1494050295 · 28/04/2019 19:42

Well done. I am on the journey to lose 16 kilos.

Argeles · 28/04/2019 19:53

Well done to you, that’s fantastic!!!

You have inspired me to finally make a start on my diet tomorrow, so thank you.

I have 3 stone to lose to be at a proper bmi, but ideally 3 stone and 7 pounds.

I’m planning on going back to the gym after a ‘break’ of about 12 years, and also seriously need to stop eating crisps and biscuits, and cut down on my alcohol intake. I also have to start drinking water too. I’ve known what I’ve needed to do for a long time, but thanks to severe depression, I’ve been kind of ‘locked in’ and not able to kick myself up the arse with anything. Not anymore. My depression can fuck right off, along with my weight (hopefully).

Stormei · 28/04/2019 20:30

I am soooo not an app person, but it was using the phone app to track my eating which turned out to help most.

I’m no angel (looks at G&T) or super healthy, but it’s stopped the pointless stuffing. You know a crumpet as you do the kids some, some of their chips, a couple of shortbread when you’re bored etc. That was my issue, my meals were pretty good!

Also I gave up the big exercise for achievable , daily yoga only to start off and easy. Not beating myself up and collapsing in HIIT stuff.

Hopefully my boringness helps someone else do it in a way that works for them x

@Argeles you can so do it, start super small and be proud. Even if it’s one tiny think you can easily do, then a constant upward of little bits is so doable. I haven’t made a gym yet, but I’m swimming weekly and doing a bike ride most weeks as well as keeping up yoga which is great from sweet fuck all. Maybe I’ll make the gym one day

@KissMeBunty er... after about 20 years of starve and stuff cycling I got it right. I’m not better than anyone else on this believe me 🙃

@Stormei

Thank you so much for the encouragement. It’s interesting too to read what type of fitness activities you have been trying - I think yoga would be very beneficial for my body and my mind.

feelingverylazytoday · 28/04/2019 21:29

Very well done OP ,I know how you feel because I got there a couple of months ago. Great, isn't it.

Canshopwillshop · 28/04/2019 21:33

Well done OP. You’ve done it the right way, slow and steady and changed your diet for life, not a faddy quick fix. You are much more likely to keep the weight off doing it your way.

Canshopwillshop · 28/04/2019 21:44

And I love that you have chosen yoga over HITT. I love yoga but feel that I should do more high intensity classes - maybe that’s not the case ...
