Would a dry cleaners be able to get a now blue towel back to white?

Ruined my boss’ lovely white company towel by chucking a never been washed blue towel in with it and it’s now a less then lovely shade of blue

Will a dry cleaner be able to get it back to white? I think it’s too far gone for a bit of vanish and will end up looking v murky rather then crisp white

(I should say, she’s cool about it but I firmly like to fix my mistakes!)

TIA

Change your perception.

Stick it in a bath of bleach?

Dont use dry cleaning. You can buy colour remover to put in the machine or buy her s new towel

Just buy her a replacement.

Bleach will probably yellow it and knacker the fibres.
Dye removers will probably turn it pale grey or 1980’s ‘bluebell white’.
Dry cleaner probably wouldn’t do it or would charge you a fair few quid, so it would be better just to get her a new one.

Color run remover?

GoldenFlaps · 28/04/2019 12:30

Another vote for colour run remover.

Colour run remover, get it in the supermarket. Worth a try before buying a replacement.

Just buy her a new towel if you're that strung out about and say you've sorted it.

I would wash it again with biological powder then hang outside on the line on a bright sunny day. The sun is the best thing to get rid of stains on clothes so might work on bleaching a towel, may take a couple of goes.

I used those colour catcher sheets. Wash it on its own now,you might be surprised how much colour comes out, then try colour run.

Sterilising tablets. Soak towel then wash with stain remover/colour remover as normal.

EgremontRusset · 28/04/2019 14:08

Dylon dye remover.

Reallylongstory1 · 28/04/2019 14:10

I’d recommend colour catcher sheets too. Pop it in the wash by itself with a colour catcher sheet on a hot wash 60 degrees or above. It’s worked for me before

Colour run remover is brilliant.
