Are there any alternatives to panty liners?

Not for time of the month, but just for everyday discharge?

When I got a Mooncup I did think I could use it dual purpose as it were but unfortunately not been able to as it puts too much pressure on bladder so that's ruled out.

Thanks and sorry if TMI.

Period pants! (Lighter ones)

bellinisurge · 27/04/2019 17:58

Reusables. Loads available on Etsy. Or make yourself.

Sorry I should have been more clear. I want something that I can use with matching underwear sets so want to use specific underwear but some of the nice underwear sets you get are a bit skimpy and it feels a bit icky but a liner is a bit 'obvious' (and yes I know you can get smaller sizes but still).

Cloth liners.

bellinisurge · 27/04/2019 18:26

You can get thong sized cloth pads. Also ones using "adult" fabric.

bellinisurge · 27/04/2019 18:29

By "adult " I mean fabric with adult themed print Grin

re usable cloth liners. with/ without waterproof part so would more breathable. mine are plain, I don`t want them with silly unicorns lol!

gonnaneedaginsoon · 27/04/2019 18:38

Have you tried the 'bodyform so slim' liners? I occasionally use them and I wear them with lots of different underwear and never can you tell I have one on. They also come in thong version too.

Ariela · 27/04/2019 18:46

I use these Imse Vimse panty liners, they've very slim, and immensely comfortable. Mostly have black ones and a few of the grey 'Garden' print. They do stay put really well.

Knickers with a cotton gusset! Outside of periods we don’t need a panty liner.

dementedpixie · 27/04/2019 18:55

You might not but some people do (like me!)

Outside of periods YOU might not need a liner, but some of us do.
If I didn’t wear a liner, my natural (and normal) discharge would seep through cotton gusset knickers and make my trousers a bit wet.
What is normal for one person is not normal for another.

StarlightLady · 27/04/2019 19:19

I consider myself healthily moist. I suggest that if knickers or even a pair of quality tights with a cotton gusset are not adequate, it’s time to talk to a doctor. Not subscribe to purchasing extra restrictive layers.

dementedpixie · 27/04/2019 19:21

But some women are more moist than others, can you not comprehend that?

dementedpixie · 27/04/2019 19:22

And I'd rather change a panty liner than have to change my pants and jeans a couple of times a day

RandomMess · 27/04/2019 19:25

😂

I am peri menopause - thank goodness I can get in with my mooncup!

Was fed up of ovulation discharge for over a week at a time!!! Pants needed changing every few hours otherwise.

As I said before, what’s normal for one person is not normal for another. I assure you there is nothing wrong with me and in the past I have queried it with doctors who took swabs and ran tests. All clear, just normal for me.
Maybe you need to have a little empathy for others.

Alsonification · 27/04/2019 20:32

I also need panty liners every day & I bloody hate wearing the disposable ones. I’ve recently ordered washable ones from aliexpress. They won’t be here til end of May. I can’t wait. Who knew I could get excited about washable panty liners Grin
