How many sets of clothes to keep at NRPs?

DC is 3, potty trained at Christmas and still has the occasional accident which wets through clothing.

Court has told me I am to send some clothes to the NRP for DC to store and use there. They go to the NRP for 3 hours once a week and then 24 hours EOW. The NRP has been told to provide socks and pants. This is the only time I have to send them, once they wear out/grow out the NRP is expected to replace them.

The idea is that the DC will wear “my” clothes to NRP then be changed the following day into “dads” clothes but NRP will keep hold of “my” clothes, wash them and then they go into the wardrobe to be used again.

So what should I send and how much?

Probably 2 to 3 sets of clothes and 2 sets of pyjamas.

Send them in stuff that doesn't matter, don't send expensive clothes in case you don't see them again. I would get supermarket & Primark clothes, 2 sets each & 2 sets of pjs, plus cheap wellies, trainers etc & a cheap coat each. I can't believe that he isn't capable of buying them clothes right from the start.

I kept it very simple.

Three sets of leggings and t shirts in relatively plain colours that all go together and in a size larger.

Nothing DC is going to get attached to as the "favourite" will always be at the wrong house!

I order online from H&M as they are good and cheap for basics.

I would get them 3 sets of fairly cheap clothes if there is going to be clothes you've sent them in left there. So they can wear A to dad's, B at dad's and C home. Then send them back in C next time. Once they're old enough, then can make sure any 'favourites' are worn both there and back if they want to keep them with them.
Plus PJs. Surely the coat / shoes you send them in will be worn there and then sent back.
It is rather odd he can't just buy them himself (if he's been deemed to have enough money to replace them as and when).

He's so far sent coats and shoes back but DC needs a specific type and brand of shoes due to a medical condition and they're £50 a pair so I don't think he wants to be ordered to get those.

No idea why he doesn't have to pay for his own to start with possibly because he's had 6 months of not seeing DC so wouldn't know sizes etc.

Thanks everyone though, sounds like 3 sets of clothes, 3 sets of pyjamas should be right. We do live less than 3 miles from each other so if it's wrong I'll be able to drop off more or pick up specific items if DC wants them.

I've gone with:

1 cotton short sleeved dress
1 long sleeved tshirt
1 short sleeved tshirt
1 vest top
1 jogging bottoms
1 leggings
1 shorts
1 skirt
1 pjs
1 night dress

DC has a good selection then. If he wants anything more fancy for them to wear there then he can buy them.
