Does anyone else get nausea during anxiety/panics? Any remedies?

I feel like a lot of people get stuttering, shaky hands, heart palpitations etc. as a result of anxiety but I've always had this awful nausea feeling, like I'm about to throw up when I get anxious which is worse than all the other anxiety symptoms (I still get the others as well but they are barely noticeable compared to the awful waves of nausea) and the nausea makes me even more anxious, which causes even more nausea so it's a viscous cycle :(

Anyone else get that? If so, any helpful remedies that have worked for you?

I get nausea with my anxiety, I always keep a packet of peppermints with me, that seems to stave off the sick feeling

Yes, I get a horrid churning feeling in my stomach accompanied by an intense sense of dread. It's horrible!

Not found a solution yet but may give peppermints a go as I've heard them mentioned before.

Try chewing gum or tic tacs - I used to get panic attacks with nausea alongside emetophobia- it was seriously not at all fun. I also used to visualise a cold tap dripping into a clean white sink - which helped.

Peppermint tea and the ritual of making it helps calm me

My daughter has daily nausea with her anxiety. She's only 9 and we're experimenting but something that's helping a lot is to make her reconnect with herself by using one hand to squeeze each finger on the other hand one at a time and count as she does it. We usually get to at least 50 before seeing clear improvement. I've watched her de-escalate from a building panic whilst doing this and then her nausea has become more manageable.

Might be worth a try
