Is this normal - just my health anxiety ? (embarrassing)

I’m mortified to post this but don’t know who else to ask Blush

I was having some ... alone ... time earlier today and had a bit of a funny episode . Had an orgasm but felt unusually lightheaded , suddenly very hot in my face and heart pounding (but not unusually fast) just prior . Sort of like the feeling if you strain to use the loo or stand up too fast .

I have major health anxiety and often panic about my heart - I get skipped beats and have been checked out dozens of times with ecgs , monitors , a treadmill , an echo etc as was some query over family history . Always told I’m fine and it’s just anxiety . Anxiety to the point I don’t go out anymore because of it .

I’m very concerned about what happened earlier although rational part is saying maybe low blood pressure , tired , due a period , on strong painkillers , dehydrated (think might be a UTI starting) and been sat in the sun all afternoon ... is there a chance it’s just that ? I really, really don’t want to be asking anyone for help if can avoid explaining Blush .

I feel fine now fwiw ...

I’m mortified to ask but any reassurance that I’m not needing to panic would help a lot .

It sounds plausible that it was entirely normal occurance given the context but Go to the GP if you need reassurance.

I would hope you're not looking for comparison stories as I would always advise people to be wary of posting such stuff online. There's a lot of weirdos lurking.

Sounds exactly like an orgasm 🤷

Yeah no definitely not interested in others experiences ... fingers crossed it is just anxiety . I’m hyperaware of heartbeat etc (check pulse a lot) which probably isn’t helping.

The same thing has happened when laughing or crying a few times in the last three months or so now that I think about it - to the point I avoid laughing as well .. I’ve never actually blacked out or anything though - just I get a head rushy feeling .

Am wary of asking GP as they put it all down to anxiety - every time , ‘just your anxiety’ .
