Bee or wasp?

We are getting lots of these in our kitchen as bedroom. I don't know if they're bees or wasps. So ignorant.

Can anyone tell me?

Bee or wasp?

Bee.

So could we have a nest of some sort because I get one or two every day in the house now.

There are lots of bees about right now.

Admittedly most of our plants are bee friendly but even so we have seen lots of bees flying about needing to be herded out the door again.

It’s hard to tell from the picture but it may not be a honey bee. Tjeres lots of types of solitary bee in the uk. My garden is heaving with the things.

Have a look online to see if you can ID your bees. Solitary bees tend not to sting and of course they’re all really important pollinators. Even if it is a honey bee it doesn’t necessarily mean you have a nest. 2 a day would be pretty standard in our house.

Yes. Cat was after it so made sure it could escape. Save the bees! 🐝

We have the same issue with our dog.

Fortunately the bees tend to be far quicker and smarter than he is although he does like to stalk them in the flower beds Hmm

Bee.

There are loads around at the moment, aren't there? Any ladybirds - I've never seen so many. It's lovely!

Wasps tend to be more pointy at the business end, rather than rounded.

There are a lot of masonry bees about at the moment, but the wasps have made an appearance, the fuckers.

Wasps usually have a brighter yellow (warning) stripe whereas bees tend to have a duller (honey) stripe.

I've had a lot of these coming in and bothering the cat. I've watched them outside. They nest in holes and cracks in the brick work.
