Environmentally friendly pull ups for bedwetting?

DD (4.5) is still in pullups overnight. We are resigned to waiting it out as attempts to lift her or restrict water before bedtime don't seem to work. I've been looking for washable, re-usable pull up alternatives for her for overnight as I shudder at the thought of more going into landfill, but I'm a bit thrown by all the options. The ones I've seen seem to say they can handle a wee or two - often her pull up is full by morning and I'm worried pants wouldn't cope. Does anyone have any suggestions for reusable night time pants for older children who still wee a lot in the night? Any suggestions gratefully received!

Have you spoken to your GP about why she's unable to stay dry overnight?

MayorPrentiss · 23/04/2019 09:55

Avocados no not yet - she's still little and is fine in the day. From research on the Eric website it seems like night time wetting is pretty common at this age and it's largely hormonal. Will start to worry when she's older! Just looking for help with sustainable ways to deal with the wetting for now!

It can be quite normal up until children are about 7 IIRC.

Motherease bedwetters are often suggested in cloth nappy groups I’m in. They’re pretty too! (Although quite pricey) Terry nappies would be a cheaper option, although not easy for DD to put on/take off herself.

If she’s quite petite, a large Motherease Sandys with an Airflow wrap would probably work really well. You’d probably only need one wrap and a couple of Sandys.

Like otter, we used a Motherease Toddlease (which actually is an XL Sandys), + XL Airflow and pulled it up and down. However not easy with a chubby child.
There are a few places have small in stock eg here is a pretty unicorn one:

Ahhhh thank you so much Ariela! Showed her the pants and she liked the look of the dino ones so have ordered a pair! (Will also do for her little brother who is about to start potty training!). If they work well i'll order some more. Thanks so much for the advice!
