Hi everyone.
I’m currently a nursery practitioner and wanting to get more into SEN side of things, Be this ed psych, speech and language, senco.

It’d take me a long time before my work would offer me to get on any relevant recognised courses so I’m willing to do a degree or something but open uni doesn’t offer SEN degrees or relevant ones that aren’t vague so can anyone advise me of what qualifications I can do! I need to get a move on with my career

that's quite a range of options there-
speech and language therapy is a degree
senco, a degree in education, teaching and then possibly further degree or qualification before you'd be a senco
ed psych, AFAIK, psychology degree+teaching qualification+teaching experience then you need to do a higher degree

Thank you @newtlover
Very up for going the psychology degree route. I’ll have a proper look thank you.

Maybe look for a job as a TA in a special school? This would give you lots of experience, and the opportunity to work with different professionals which would help you decide what you'd like to do in the future

To be a senco you need to have a teaching degree and then the NASENCo postgrad certificate within 3 yrs of being in post.

I k ow you used to have to do teaching to be an EP but not Sure that you do any more.
