Any other miserable bastards out there wishing it would rain all day tomorrow?

I’m absolutely knackered, I work part time (lucky I know) one DS aged 10, I find Easter holidays exhausting. I don’t take any extra leave so I do the usual juggle of work and organising childcare. Childcare comes from my friends and then I return the favour on my days off and have their kids. We’ve had another full day out today and all I want to do tomorrow is stay under the duvet, cook a roast dinner and watch films but of course the bloody sun’s out to spoil it all so I’ll have to make a picnic (which means a trip to the shops) pack the car up and drive at least an hour to the coast. Poor me 😤😉

I have plans to do the garden tomorrow but to be honest I'm a bit fed up of hearing next door's children screaming and singing inappropriate songs at the top of their voicesSad can't really enjoy the garden when you have a bunch of 6 year olds hanging over the fence 8am-10pm asking me why my dog is walking there, why is my dog sniffing that, why is my dog licking there, why is my dog making that sound, why is one of my dogs feet white. It gets to you after a while Grin they even shout to get my attention while I'm inside, screaming until I come out thinking they've thrown a ball over by accident etc only to ask where the bloody dog is!

Nooo we're having our first ever bbq tomorrow in our garden. We cut the grass and chopped the bushes back specially. I've even made an extra trip to tesco tonight to buy the food for it (burgers in brioche buns with salad, blue cheese sauce and bbq sauce served with sweet potato chips and beer battered onion rings. I can't wait!) We're hiding the eggs all around the garden in the morning so the kids can do a proper hunt - if it rains then everything is spoiled Sad

BTW I agree with pp - you don't have to go out just because it's sunny. There's nothing wrong with spending the day in the house and garden and having a quiet, restful bank holiday.
