The sun's got his hat on, so we're off on the bus to a local-ish park and museum for the day.

When the girls get up that is...so far there's only me awake so I'm about to start thinking about making sandwiches to take out with us.

We were going to go to Cleethorpes, but the train fare's more than I wanted to spend on one day out.

What about you lot? Any nice plans for the day?

Just finishing up at work and about to meet up with DH and DS for some lunch in the sun.
I think after that we're heading to the shops for a top up before the close again and then sorting out a new bedroom for DS so he can move out of ours!

Sitting in the hotel room in Lanzarote son won't go out as he got burnt on the first day.

I walked the DC to the supermarket this morning. DS(2) arsed about so much on the way that it took almost an hour to get there. It's less than half a mile! We have had a picnic lunch and the DC are playing (astonishingly) nicely in the paddling pool meaning I have been able to sit on my arse quietly supervising, which is terrific as I have a sore throat and am losing my voice. DH will be at work until late. I will make a minimal effort dinner later.

Big clear out of garage.

Posting on local sites to sell garden shed and wooden play frame. Fielding calls about those!

Dcs are bored witless but that's tough.

It is chilly and grey here today :( I went for a walk with the baby earlier to see how well I could manage (my physiotherapy exercises seemed to be helping, at last) and managed 5km before I had to call to be picked up.

DD has a friend round and they've gone off to play in the schoolyard. When they come back we're going to make pizzas. Possible friend is going to stay the night.

Baby is currently chasing after the cat, who just wisely jumped over the safety gate to escape and now baby is staring forlornly at her.

OH is making music in the basement which is pretty much all he's done all week and I'm starting to understand why his brother's girlfriend encouraged his brother to give all his keyboards and synthesisers and stuff to OH. The baby shall go down to the basement later to make some music too, it's his favourite thing to do.

Lazy afternoon currently about to go in garden with kids and play games get bouncy castle out. Been painting and glossing all morning.

nrpmum · 20/04/2019 15:12

Much like Hellohah I am doing exciting things, like pressure washing the back garden and the decking and trimming the hedge. I blitzed the house yesterday, so tomorrow is lay in I think.

Justgivemesomepeace · 20/04/2019 15:18

Done some washing, got it out on the line. Went to get ds haircut but the barbers was packed so went to bnq and got plants. DS has found a friend and they are playing in the back entry on their bikes, DD is half revising half sunbathing. Im pondering what to do for tea. Dp is ill with man flu. Life in the fast lane!

SuperNoodly · 20/04/2019 15:20

Had a mini lie-in, then me & DD met my mum for breakfast at a cafe and went for a lovely long walk in the sunshine. DH stayed home to do some DIY and housework Grin.

I’m home now and contemplating what to do this evening.

HotSauceCommittee · 20/04/2019 15:25

Trying not to move out of the garden. It’s lush. We’ve had two great days out, so today is for me as I am a home bird.

Topsy44 · 20/04/2019 15:42

Took Dd to a large park this morning where she could run off some energy, had a picnic and ice creams. Lovely to see the sun. This afternoon Dd is playing in the garden with a friend, friend's younger brother is watching a DVD (it's all going too well at the moment and I'm waiting for 'they're not playing with me!). I'm hoping to read my book with a cup of tea before doing an easy tea of fish fingers etc for their tea.

Quiet day really. Had a rather boozy bbq last night so no one but me was up before 9. Dd2 got up to walk the dog then spent the rest of the day getting ready for a party tonight then sleepover (she's 15). Ds (17) has gone out to the Botanic Garden with his mates, to be home at some unspecified time "later" and dd1 has just left for work, it's a wedding in her venue tonight so I doubt we'll have her back before 3am. Dh is asleep on the sofa, I'm cracking through the rest of last nights wine and crisps (don't tell SlimmingWorld!!).

Nice quiet day, as I said. Up for church together on Easter Sunday tomorrow, though.

Adversecamber22 · 20/04/2019 19:16

Helped with the flowers for Easter at church, did a 7ft high , 3 ft wide one which took quite a while. Walk through the park and lunch with a friend. Will game on my console later, DH and DS out and not back till late.

PerpendicularVincent · 20/04/2019 19:42

DS has had a party and a playdate today so is hot, tired and grumpy but has no intention of going to bed Confused

DH is watching the Barcelona match whilst browsing crap on Facebook, and I'm on the sofa. I need a wee but I can't be bothered to get up.
