Basically just that, I used to do ironing/cleaning for many years (now work in school) but have been asked about doing some ironing again and the money would come in handy, but not sure if I should up prices a little I would be picking up/dropping back (24 hour turn around) how much would you be willing to pay per basket

We pay per item , I think it’s 70p for T-shirt’s and £1 for shirts / sheets / duvet covers etc . I don’t know if she charges less for kids clothes as we are all adult . I wouldn’t be happy with a per basket price as it’s so variable what we send each week .

Ahh ok I've always used to do a basket for £15 and and a couple of customers who's houses I ironed at and used to charge £10ph, one of them I used to do at least 15 men's shirts, anything between 2and 5 sets of bedding (double and super king sizes) and lots of jeans, tees, polo etc so per item that would of been really expensive

£12 for an hour of ironing - our cleaner does it. She gets a basketful done

Our cleaner takes ironing in. She takes our bedding once a week to iron and a few of dps shirts and a couple of my dresses. She charges £10 per hour and this takes her about an hour.
A basket is a bit subjective, it could be crammed with 20 screwed up shirts or full of 10 neatly folded shirts!

£15 for a basket.

We pay £12 an hour, but it's done at our house.

I pay my cleaner £12 an hour which includes ironing. So no pick up or drop off.

In Reading, so reasonably affluent area.

locketsprocket · 18/04/2019 23:30

RamblinRosie I'm village in Reading to (West side) I will probably just stick with £15 per basket then for ease

Thanks everyone

I pay about £12 for a 3/4 full IKEA bag or £5 extra if it contains the king sized bed sheets
