He’s waiting for you to join him at the car for a weeks break and
You’ve just decided to water the hyacinth bulbs and
You’re looking at a heap of soil on the kitchen floor and
As hard as you’re trying to sweep it up ..it’s spreading all over and
You say, ‘ say anything and I’ll cry ‘ and
He just mucks in and helps with the big clear up and
The bloody dyson hasn’t been plugged in and
He takes it all in his stride and
We make the best of a bad job and
Phew..it got sorted and
Ok we left ten minutes later than planned and

All was well.

Your stories ?

These are just lovely
I’ve mentioned this before
When he had a stroke and had to get to grips with doing more driving
I was getting used to his car, it being newer than mine
So I’m struggling to get into my daughters narrow drive between two brick pillars in his car and he said...don’t worry if you hit it

Bless
I didn’t 😁

When it's cold at night and he literally tucks me in haha! I leave it for a minute then move because I'm always too hot but the thought's there Grin

ememem84 what you need is a Giant Jammy Dodger! DD1 made one at the weekend, I can confirm it was delicious!

Anyway, when your car breaks down and the RAC don't consider you a priority because you aren't on a main road and so say they won't be sending anyone for a couple of hours, which then turns into 5 so you call your DH in tears because it's your period and you need the toilet NOW and you have no data on your phone and you're freezing and he sorts out the garage and someone to come and pick you up in 30 minutes and doesn't go into work until you are home and safe.

When you climb into bed and he’s already nearly asleep but he turns over and wraps himself around your freezing arse.

He brings me up a cup of tea every single morning. He does more than his share of getting up with the dcs in the night.
He always clears up any mess that the neighbour's cat makes in our garden.

I was a single mum working full time as a teacher when DP and I were first involved. I used to come home from work and find bags of quick-to-prepare food and logs on my doorstep because he worried about me.

He also pulled a large worm out of my dog’s bum when we were ‘new’ because I was freaking out. He felt like a keeper then Grin

Now he brings me coffee every morning, chocolate when it’s my period, rubs my back when I’m tense - he just looks after me in every single possible way.

We’re getting married soon and I can’t wait.
