I need to make the absolute best cake ever. HELP!

Managed to accidentally get involved in a bake-off. My normal style of cooking is of the ‘empty the fridge into a pan, add garlic and hey presto’ sort.

So what can I make that is delicious, impressive and competition winning?

Cranks carrot cake topped with cream cheese icing, sprinkled with cinammon sugar is to die for and terribly easy.

Also waiting for the lemon cake recipe...

Have to say, I'm no baker but I've yet to meet a lemon drizzle cake which beats mine! I'll post the recipe tomorrow when I can dig it out.
