How to stop needing the toilet!?

I'm pregnant and I'm honestly never off the toilet, constantly needing a wee. It's driving me bonkers, is there anything I can do to stop needing to go all the time or should I just accept that this is how it's going to be? Arggghh Sad

Someone once told me that if you think about having sex it can take the feeling of needed the loo away. Works for me in a pinch e.g. stuck in a car but I wonder if it's just distraction?

You shouldn't be holding it in though unless you really have to!

@spanishwife I physically can't hold it in, just an inconvenience having to keep getting out of bed when I'm comfortable Grin

Will try the thinking about sex thing! Haha

I clicked on this because I'm in the same boat. Not pregnant though!

All your organs are being jiggled around so there's more pressure on your bladder. At least you know there'll be an end to it! As PP said, don't hold it in!

@Stravapalava I feel like I may as well just camp in the bathroom! It's ridiculous

Maybe a stupid idea, but could you try drinking in bursts rather than just sporadically throughout the day, e.g. only drink between 7-8, then 11-12, then 3-4 and so on.. at least then you'll have a limited amount of times you'll need to go in any time period

@spanishwife I'm constantly thirsty so drinking water all day long. Probably to do with my diabetes

Sex got you into this predicament so be careful thinking about it lol.

How pregnant are you? I found that at the beginning of the 2nd trimester the weeing was bonkers, but as baby grew it got more manageable, so it might get better before you give birth!!

Jaybee83 · 15/04/2019 06:51

Well that makes sense if you’re diabetic. Are you in touch with your consultant and are you monitoring your blood sugars? I’m sure you know it’s very important to keep a tight control on your blood sugars during pregnancy. I think call your care team/hospital/midwife - hopefully you’re keeping a record and ask them if they have a solution/are concerned.

2nd trimester I was like this. Couldn't drink water after 8/9 at night otherwise I'd be up all night. Baby cna also just be sitting on your bladder annoying going for a tablespoon of wee. Lol
