If you have Spotify family, did you know you can get a Google Home mini for free?

It might be old news but I didn't realise this so maybe others don't. If you log on to your Spotify account there will be a link to order one. It shows up as £49 but it's free at the checkout.

Oh I have a Google play account already so it wouldn't need my card details.
Definitely didn't need a code I just kept pressing confirm, you can cancel it up to an hour after ordering if something goes wrong.

I saw the ad, but I have to wait until DD is 13 before there's any point in getting it, so until thing, I'll just have to keep on living with all the recs for her music.

We already have family account but when I click your link and put my email address in, it asks me to sign up. Is that what happens?

Mine came within 2 days.
DS2 had a student Spotify account which is £4.99 a month and he shared it with DS1, but they can only have that for three years so I decided to pay for Family so we can all use it. Then discovered the free Mini afterwards.

I think you had to have payment details on Google play which I do (possibly via Paypal?)
stucknoue What do you use your echo dots for? We have one which hasn't proved as much use or fun as I hoped.

Ridiculous question but how do I get into my account?!?

I have the app downloaded on my phone and use it all the time (plus have family account) but cannot for the life of me work out how to get into this!

I really wanted mine to use as a speaker. I've listened to Spotify and Magic Soul through it.
I set a reminder to go and pick up DD and got travel info.

If a company starts throwing their product at you for free I think it's a good idea to ask, 'Why?'

I got one of these with my Spotify account and I 'won' one just by using Google pay. They're sitting in their boxes. Im yet to be convinced it isn't anything other than a data collection product so Google can sell advertising to you.

I'm not comfortable with Google constantly listening in at home I don't think... Am fed up with talking about something our loud then getting ads for it. So have deleted Facebook and Instagram.

Anyone else feel the same?

Mine arrived today! I always refused to get an Alexa but actually really like being able to ask what time the next bus is and what the weather is doing while I'm getting ready!
