£8.20 for an adult
£6.90 for a child over 3

That’s bloody excessive isn’t it?!

5.50 per adult, 2.75 per child (any age). For that you get one hour and you're out. We don't go very often. By the time I've paid for the bus too, it's £17. £19 as soon as DD is 5 and also needs a bus ticket...

The one I quoted is a leisure pool with a couple of flumes, wave machine and a lazy river. The other council run one also has a couple of flumes and a wave machine. Both have children's play areas in the pool too.

At both you can also book for lane swimming. One is an olympic pool for some of the lane swimming - same price.

£5.10 for adult - no idea about kids, I'm past paying for them now Wink

Or £30 odd per month for membership which means you can go as often as you want.

There is an hour a day when it is free - of course that only works if you are free at that time, but it is free for all City residents, you don't have to be on benefits / low income to go.

OutdoorApathy · 14/04/2019 14:27

£5.30 adults (16+)
£2.60 7-15
6 and under free

You can buy a card for 12 entries and get 2 free.
Or a yearly membership for £205.

I never go because DS is too old for the womens, not able (SN rather than PFB) to go alone in the men's and the only "accessible" changing room is in the women's changing room Hmm

Adult - £4.40, children and over 65's - £2.85. I pay £32 /month though, very good value as I swim 5 times a week during term time.

PaquitaVariation · 14/04/2019 14:34

Ours is £2.80 for children and about £5 for adults. However we can only get in in the holidays. During term time the whole timetable from 5am to 9pm, except for 3-3.30, is taken up with the local swimming club, school lessons or council run swimming lessons. There are no general swim sessions, it’s ridiculous.

BrokenWing · 14/04/2019 15:02

Junior Swim £2.10 + day admission to centre £1.25 (Junior Annual Admission £15.80, or £44 for family). Adult is £3.40 for swim + £1.55 for day admission. Unlimited time unless there is something on which has exclusive pool use. 25m pool, smaller children's pool and a single flume.

Swimming is free for school age kids in the leisure centre in school holidays with a Young Scot card or the card they give out to younger children (cant remember the name). They regularly put huge inflatables in the pool during school holidays. ds and friends were regularly dropped off to go in themselves from age 10 onwards.

BathshebaKnickerStickers · 14/04/2019 15:19

We have an international standard Aquatics Centre.

We have a 50m pool and a 25m pool - both variable depths.

We have a full set of diving boards in the 25m pool.

It has fantastic facilities and the changing rooms are amazing.

£5.60 for adults
£2.80 for kids.

Namechangedcositstime · 14/04/2019 15:20

Adults £4.40
Children aged 5-15 £3.20
Under 5s £1
Over 60s £3.40
Family pass (maximum 2 adults and 4 people total) £12
Spectator £1

Not the most expensive but for around here for a family that's a lot.

Jojobythesea · 14/04/2019 15:27

We don't even have a local council pool 🙄

PlumCakeChica · 14/04/2019 15:30

£4.80 for an adult

3in4years · 14/04/2019 15:38

I don't get why adults have to pay for kids swim sessions. If you take a child, there should be one price. It's not like you swim. You have to bob about next to them, and basically pay twice for it.

lljkk · 14/04/2019 15:43

OP: is your local pool one with things like wave machine or slides? Those sort cost more.

My local has a moveable floor so shallow sessions for families, but otherwise just a rectangle (no wave machine). Costs about £5.10 for an adult, £3.10 for

happyhillock · 15/04/2019 15:58

My daughter's didn't have swimming lesson's i taught them myself and my grandaughter, why pay when you can teach them yourself

outpinked · 15/04/2019 16:08

Yep, that’s expensive.

£4.90 for an adult
£2.70 for a child
£10.50 for an adult

outpinked · 15/04/2019 16:08

Sorry, £10.50 for a family.

Ktay · 15/04/2019 16:10

I’ve been trying to get the exact info for the Kingfisher Pool in Kingston (Surrey) for you but their website’s run by the lamentable Places Leisure and doesn’t include this basic stuff. IIRC the last time I went it was about £5.50 for me and £3 for DD but I think it was off-peak. Plus we got stung for a £5 padlock (also not mentioned on website) for the lockers. There was a floater in the pool Envy so haven’t rushed back...
