Not a TAAT but extension. We have a touring caravan and holiday in UK. Where are the best 'bucket list' places that are dog friendly?
For info..prettypup wont be able to do long walks this year due to her age but in future years it will be very active.. and huge I am fit and active but DH disabled and uses a scooter. which prettypup can pull when she is grownup

I took my dog to Southport Whitby on a regular bases Scarborough. I travelled by train most of the time and stayed in travel lodges / Britannia or B&Bs .
Scarborough is lovely traditional holiday spot , part of the beach is dog friendly all year round , and there a some nice 'local ' type pubs. to get to the beach / front there is a tram/ lift type thing that is a few pound. All the pubs are dog friendy
It is not the lively of places but is great for a few days away.
Southport has a bit more going on , the main road ( Lord st ) has loads of pubs and cafes 95% of which are dog friendly , The Scarsbrick is a nice hotel right in the centre of Lord St. in the warm weather there is always a singer on just next to the pier , they are generaly quite good. the lake is a beautiful l place to walk round ( I scatted some of DHs ashes there).
Unfortunately I do not know if / where there are caravan sites at them places.

However Ripon / Ripley / Harrogate all have good campsites Ripley is particularly good , there are a couple of pubs near by but you need a car to be able to see the best areas

The New Forest is gorgeous! Loads of dog friendly hotels/Air bnb's too if you want them at any point!

DP and I want to visit the Lake District at some point with our dog. (Quite expensive there I think though- and busy!)

There are lots of nice beaches in South Wales which are dog friendly all year round.

This is a bit of a left field suggestion, but - London. It mainly is a suggestion I'm making because of the accessibility issues, but

  • all buses and some tube stations are wheelchair accessible, and all are dog friendly.
  • there are some fantastic walks in London, which are more scooter friendly than you would find in the countryside (Hampstead Heath, for instance, is 800 acres and has lots of well paved paths)
  • there are lots of dog friendly eateries, especially if you're happy to eat outside.
I used to live in London with DDog and it was just as easy, if not more so, than living in other smaller cities I've lived in with him and I actually miss the places I had to walk him since moving to a smaller city.

Northumberland is super dog friendly. Not only lovely walks in beautiful places with a stunning coastline and beaches but most pubs, cafes and shops welcome dogs too.
