14 nights April 2020 (term time)direct flights, room only accommodation on international drive, airport transfers, 14 day unlimited access to all the Disney and universal parks (9 in total). 2 adults and 1 child £4484?

Itching to press book but thought I’d ask you wise lot first. Many thanks.

Sounds a good deal to me!

We've got 14 nights in October 2019, flights, transfers, on-site hotel with breakfast, 14 day tickets to Universal and Disney through Tui for one adult and one teen for the same price as your deal. First time we've been though so not sure what prices most people get who go more frequently.

I’d wait a week or so until free dining is released and stay onsite. You’ll save a fortune on food.

What about transport? If your resort does to all parks then great but most only do to either universal or Disney and charge for the other which can be upwards of $20 each person each day.

Would highly recommend driving over there. We went for an i-drive hotel and ended up hiring a car because it was cheaper and allowed up more freedom and to go shopping too.

We’ve just paid £2500 with virgin for 2 weeks in Nov 2020...2 adults, 1 child. That price doesn’t include tickets but they would be about £1700 on their own! Your price sounds about right.

Bethan369 · 13/04/2019 18:40

Thanks everyone, the hotel does a transport link for $12 to all the parks. Friends of ours used Uber so we could do that too. It’s only a few miles from both, not brave enough to drive. I’ve had time today to look around and it does sound like a good price, I don’t think we’d get it any cheaper.

That's a good deal if it includes park entry.

beeyourself · 13/04/2019 18:59

My only concern is that at room only you'll spend a fortune on food. And what if you fancy a trip out to Kennedy space station/Target/outlet malls etc - it is helpful to have your own transport (& really easy to drive over there).

Bethan369 · 13/04/2019 19:03

Food wise, the plan would be a decent breakfast, take snacks for the parks and then an evening meal near the hotel. None of us are big eaters and I literally only drink water (health problems).

Bee-if you’ve been before how much would you budget for the food for the 3 of us?

It's difficult to say, we stayed in a villa so self catered a lot. I think you're looking $10pp for a decent breakfast and $15-20pp for evening meal (unless you stick to McDs). They don't tend to do small portions in my experience.

But others may have better tips on places to eat etc Smile

DantesInferno · 13/04/2019 19:09

the roads are quite busy there, and there is also a charge for parking $25 a day I think at Disney (you would need to check)

there is a 24 hour Walmart on International dr as well I think

Bethan369 · 13/04/2019 19:12

Thanks Bee, it’s really hard to judge, just from the research I’ve done today some people do spend a fortune on food but I don’t know if that’s just because they’re extravagant and eat lots! I can see if you’re having 3 meals a day with starters, desert, alcohol etc it’d soon add up but we don’t eat that much.

Great deal with the park tickets included!

notsomumsymum · 13/04/2019 19:21

Does your hotel have a kitchenette at all? We used to get cereal bars/cereal for the morning because we were always still full from the night before! Then somewhere cheap for lunch whilst out and about and an evening meal most nights. Food is more expensive than it used to be and portions are huge with no stigma about taking a doggy bag home! We would sometimes get takeaway meals from the local supermarket like roast chicken and fresh salad. My body can’t handle two weeks of Florida food 🤢

Bethan369 · 13/04/2019 19:29

Thanks for the tips notso, we’ve got a microwave and fridge so yes I think we could do some simple things with that.
