Baby boy, brother is Hugh, surname is one syllable and starts with B.

Prefer traditional names but ideally nothing to overly common. Flexible on middle names.

Oh he is so scrummy! Congratulations!
I have a Theo and your little one looks just like him when he was born so I’m going to say Theo!

Dominic Felix B...

MumInTheCity · 13/04/2019 16:26

Congratulations, he is truly adorable! Looks like a Jacob to me for sure, middle name Arthur or Thomas.

OlafLovesAnna · 13/04/2019 16:38

Magnus, he looks like a gorgeous Magnus.

I have a Hugh and if dd had been a ds she would have been Magnus or Fergus.

BearSoFair · 13/04/2019 16:49

Oh just look at those cheeks! He's beautiful OP. To me he looks like a David or a George.

LesLavandes · 13/04/2019 16:51

Jamie

BlueCookieMonster · 13/04/2019 16:51

My first thought was Henry. He has an old soul look to him.

CarmineStarman · 13/04/2019 16:55

I'd say Daniel, possibly Marcus. Anyway, congratulations OP!!!

daisydo123 · 13/04/2019 16:56

Charles?

Wow thank you so much for all your replies! DH and I have just read every single one of them and as we're still in hospital it's been nice to pass the time.

I think we've narrowed it down to Edward or Samual. Leaning towards Edward at the moment but I suspect I'll change my mind in an hour or so!

Edward is lovely and so is Ed.

Redskyandrainbows67 · 13/04/2019 17:18

Both lovely but please spell Samuel right!

dontforgettofloss · 13/04/2019 17:23

I took one look at him and thought "Edward", before I saw your post about possibly naming him Edward OP!
Congratulations, he's lovely

Crunched · 13/04/2019 17:26

Think Edmund goes better with Hugh. Congratulations

welpbloop · 13/04/2019 17:28

I instantly thought Otis

But of your narrowed down names I like Edward

Congratulations!

Mummy20192 · 13/04/2019 17:30

Arthur

Idontmeanto · 13/04/2019 17:57

Hugh and Barnaby sound wonderful together, but perhaps not with a short B surname.
Aubrey, Sidney, Christopher?

soontobefour4 · 13/04/2019 18:09

@CheesePuffTheMagicDragon babygrow is from a Matalan multipack but bought a couple of years ago for Hugh so don't suppose they still have it. Worth checking Matalan though as they have some really nice patterns and they wash well Smile

Edward is cute with many nickname possibilities. I love Ed, Ned, Eddie and Woody!

mathanxiety · 13/04/2019 18:36

I vote Samuel.

Though Edward does have good nicknames (I would go for Ted), Hugh and Sam sounds lovely to me.

ToomuchtimeonNetflix · 13/04/2019 18:41

congratulations he is gorgeous I like the name

Freddie

HairyToity · 13/04/2019 18:42

I think he's a Giles. However Edward and Samuel are both lovely names.
