I have never started a thread about a news story, but I am so so so pleased about this.

What an evil company to take data from new mothers and sell it on. That’s before you get to the Bounty reps and their photos when you least want it. I hope this signals the beginning of the end for them.

Good! When I had my oldest she came in as I was struggling to breastfeed. I answered questions and gave my details. Cue constant marketing emails and junk snail mail.

When I had my youngest four years later the same woman comes sauntering in and I politely decline explaining that I didn’t appreciate the 12 months of junk that followed “oh well that wasn’t us, we didn’t pass anything on.” Lying twunt.

Delighted to hear this dreadful company preying on in my view the vulnerable

FixTheBone · 13/04/2019 20:03

They've got off very lightly indeed.

The maximum fine the ICO can impose is £500,000

If the offences had been prosecuted under the new GDPR regs they could have been looking at £2m...

She didn't come into my bay but I heard her talking to another woman on the ward. I always thought I'd have no.probelm telling them to f off but after a hard birth and DP not being there I was genuinely scared she'd come in and I wouldn't be able to get rid of her.

We received a bounty sample pack and various leaflets in our NCT meetings, I wonder if NCT will cut their ties as well?

I was papped by the Bounty bi#%€ after a 48 hour labour and emergency C section. Completely overwhelmed and out of my tree on drugs. Second time around I was ready for her and explained why I didn’t want to be harassed by a salesperson at one of the most vulnerable moments in my life and she could shove her pack where the sun didn’t shine. She went off in abitbif a snit and the CAME BACK when my Mum arrived and asked if I had changed my mind and did I want a family group photo?!!

Good - they’re utterly awful in every way.

Why the NHS links in with Bounty in the way it does is beyond me.

Fantastic news! I had pre-warned DH about not allowing them in the room after giving birth. After a pretty traumatic time and an EMCS he shot up as soon as came in the room with a ‘no thanks, please leave’.

We heard her telling someone we were rude as she left Grin DH & I pissed ourselves.

Bloody brilliant

Who owns Bounty?
I’ve done some digging and here is the result. (If easily bored, skip to the last paragraph.)
Bounty (UK) Ltd and Bounty Holdings Ltd are both have their registered office at Kings Court, London Road, Stevenage. The accounts of both companies are marked as overdue by Companies House (accounts for the year ended 31st December 2018 should have been filed by 30th September 2019.) The current directors are: Richard Price (both companies) and James Coleman Kelleher (Bounty (UK) Ltd only).
A company called Romeo Bidco Ltd, registered at 19 Broadwater Road, Welwyn Garden City is listed as having significant influence or control over both companies. Richard Price is a director of Romeo Bidco, which also has overdue accounts.
A company called Romeo Midco is listed as having significant influence or control over Bidco. Romeo Midco has same directors (Jim Kelleher and Richard Price) as the Bounty companies, the same registered address and the same overdue accounts.
A company called Treehouse Group Ltd, registered at the Welwyn Garden City address, is listed as having significance influence or control over Midco. It is registered at the Stevenage address, and has 2 directors – Richard Price, who we have seen before, and a Tim Swales, with a correspondence address of Equistone Partners Europe Ltd, Condor House, St Pauls Churchyard, London.
Equistone Partners Europe Ltd, registered at 60 Ludgate Hill, London is listed as having significant control over Treehouse Group Ltd.

After all that, the answer as to who owns Bounty :
An investment firm called Equistone Partners Europe Ltd, which was set up in 2011 following the buyout of Barclays Private equity by its staff.
