Is there any point in actually taking clean clothes and a wash kit?

Teen boy has just returned from a cultural week in Europe with school.

I agonised over what clothes he should pack..... ensuring enough pants, socks, t shirts, hoodies, waterproof coat etc. Full wash bag.

He has just come home thus morning and I've unpacked his case to do the laundry and yet every. single. item. is. Clean.

OMG.... he is 14! I am so disappointed - grubby bugger

Did he clean his teeth though clutching at straws? For some teens, they think that's enough.

Time for a chat, OP!

DS used to be like that. He's just been on a school trip to Europe and was up at 4.30am to "do his hair" before he left Hmm

And as an aside, I would allow a 14 year old to pack himself and do his own laundry after (guess what DS is doing today?!)

From what OP is saying, @treacherouspissflap, there is no actual washing for her DS to do as its all come back as clean as it went Confused.

I do agree that teens are perfectly capable of packing their own suitcase, unless SNs in the equation
