Are there such things as 'quieter times' for the Harry Potter Studios?

As title really! I'd like to take my DC as a treat this year, but my 8 yr old is autistic and will find it a much more manageable experience if it's quiet. I appreciate it's probably always busy though!

Iirc no quiet times per se but you can on booking obtain assistance. Look on their website for additional needs support?

We went a fortnight before half term and booked for the earliest entry time (stayed locally the night before). It really didn’t seem that crowded. After you have queued to get in, you wait in a holding area. This is really the only crowded bit. Then they let yiu into the Connemara and shine you a film about making the films. This takes about 10 mins. Once you enter the studio tour itself, you are in a huge space that swallows up a lot of people. You can see people, but it never felt too claustrophobic or overwhelming. Everyone wanders round at their own pace.

Obviously it's quieter during the week. It depends how you personally feel about taking a child out of school

Inset day?

It will obviously be a bit quieter during term time than it will in the school holidays. Is taking DC out of school for a day an option for you?
Mind you, having said that, there may be school trips going on in term time.
Getting there for when it opens (10am I believe) would be a good idea. Book your tickets for the very first tour slot and then get there about half an hour before that - there is a main foyer area where you can start to queue. Being first in willl obviously put you ahead of the crowds.
Could you phone the reservation number and ask their advice too?
Be aware op that they are just about to open a new Gringotts area within the tour so that may mean the whole place is even more busy than normal.
It’s a great day though, I really recommend it.

We went in the week for opening time.

We had Diagon Alley to ourselves for five minutes or so and it was great.

Thanks all. Taking DC out of school is probably doable, the oldest finishes GCSEs mid June so won't have school after that anyway and the youngest isn't even in full time due to issues with funding/support. Looks like we will try for an early morning at the end of June!

Thanks for the tip - that sort of little adjustment would make all the difference so I'll definitely ring when I book!

Another saying definitely ask for assistance. We went with ds aged 6 who has autism and they let us skip through parts he found difficult and we never had to queue for anything. Lovely people.
