I’m tempted. I make cakes abou5 once a month. And I’d make bread...that’s not really worth it is it.

I’ve got an ancient one and I love it for cakes and use the liquidiser for pancake batter etc. It just sits there looking gorgeous the rest of the time. New ones are very expensive but I am very tight and never buy anything new anyway!

I've got one, I'm sure I've seen they are used to make bread a lot (it does it well, I must say!).

I love mine, used it to make bread a lot! It was an investment but hopefully will last ages and if cost per use is calculated it's a bargain!

I've had mine for years, wouldn't be without it. I use it at least every other day.

I’ve got the cheaper kenwood prospero, it’s been going about 5 years now despite me having drowned it in soup early on (don’t ask!) and had to pretty much take its innards apart to clean it. I use it for cakes every couple of weeks, I use the food processor attachment a fair bit for grating and chopping, the blender hardly at all as I tend to use a hand blender. I don’t think I could justify the cost or the space to upgrade to the Chef. That said my mums Kenwood Chef is well over 30 years old and still going so they are definitely an investment.

Mine is old and battered but still indispensable. I use it a bit less now there are fewer cake sales to bake for but it’s used regularly for bread, pizza bases, meringue, cakes, mincing meat, sauces etc.

Kenwood Chef is great. I miss mine a lot. They live for ever and a day (mine was 'borrowed and never returned)

Don't be tempted by a KitchenAid, they have a bad rep for poor quality gears in the newer models and are overpriced.

Thinking what I'd use it for....I've got a food processor for grating, chopping and pastry.
