Easter holidays - mums of toddlers

Anyone else wish the schools would hurry up and go back so the toddler groups start back, the softplays, swimming pools and park are quiet again?

Yes, I agree! I have a 4 year old (starts school this year so we'll have to do things in school holidays - sob!) and an almost 2 year old. I much prefer doing all the things you listed om a school day. Lovely and quiet!

Yep I used to wish this all the time when I had a toddler. And now I have a school age child I wish she was off school more so we could do all the fun things together without the crowds 😕

I remember this feeling so much! I cried last summer when I realised it was the last time I'd be able to visit places when they were lovely and quiet.

I'm usually at work 17.5 hours so it's not too bad but I've taken annual leave this week and today I suddenly realised I didn't know what we were going to do all week!
I've now made some plans; meeting a friend and her toddler tomorrow and doing a muddy walk in some woods, Tuesday lovely mil will take him to softplay in the afternoon (she's brave), Wednesday a preschool gymnastics class (double checked it was still on) and Thursday a kids disco. Friday he's in nursery Smile
He really likes swimming and soft play but I'm not attempting them this week.

@Scotinoz I wasn't working last summer and I was so glad the weather was amazing and a few of my friends either sah or work pt. we just played in the garden the whole summer. If the weather had been bad it would have been really hard.

Yes! Have a nearly 3-year-old and a 1-year-old and also dislike the holidays (and will do until Sep 2020! Grin) because most of the groups finish and everywhere else is busy.

Glad that you've managed to cobble together a plan.. there's nothing worse than waking up on a morning not knowing what to do! We've got a forest school type toddler group on this week (which luckily still runs during the holidays AND the woman who runs it is very strict about it being for under 5s!), a meet up with a friend with similarly aged children and a couple of nursery mornings for the eldest (though that still leaves tomorrow which is usually our music group...)

Aw man @Silversun83 I feel tired for you with those ages. Do they play together?

@kaytee87 - thank you! I am quite tired (and stressed Grin) a lot of the time. The one-year-old is only just one so not really quite at that stage, but they do like to play (crawling) chase. To be honest, the one-year-old is no trouble whatsoever and he's always been like that (let's hope it lasts!) but his older sister more than makes up for it Hmm
