SHIT ON IT
It’s a beast

polarpig · 07/04/2019 17:01

All spiders have fangs. It's a buzzing spider.

PristineCondition · 07/04/2019 17:02

It's a killlitwithfire.

PaddingtonMare · 07/04/2019 17:05

Is it pregnant?

Sickofsquishies · 07/04/2019 17:07

When we looked it up it looks like a Stone Spider which can give a nasty bite so I wanted to know whether to leave it on our patio or move it further from the house because of the children/pets.

Stone spiders are a darker colour I believe.

PaddingtonMare · 07/04/2019 17:09

Ooh it does look like a buzzing spider - apparently spider of the year in 2015 - like a VIP spider!

Bringbackthestripes · 07/04/2019 17:11

How big is it? Not to help identify it, I just need to decide how horrifying it would be to find one near me.

Saisong · 07/04/2019 17:11

Might be a wolf spider. Leave it alone or put it gently outside

Sickofsquishies · 07/04/2019 17:12

I think it's definitely a Stone Spider. This is a picture of one off the internet.

Buzzing spiders are more often found on leaves but they can end up on patios. Stone spiders tend to live in log piles and under stones - places where they find woodlice and beetles to eat.

polarpig · 07/04/2019 17:15

Here's a buzzing spider for comparison

It's about the size of a £2 coin, not very big. I think I'll release it at the end of the garden. Thanks all.
