I also thought you were going to say they were teenagers, in which case my answer would have been kids in economy and first class for the adults Grin

At 6 and 8 I would book 5 seats in a row across the aisle and have an adult in both of the two aisle seats.

@whitesoxx yes of course. My comment was intended to respond to those saying that the children would need to have an adult sitting with them.

Fifth still don't understand. Just because people have survived and managed in situations where children were sat alone doesn't mean it's a good idea.

In this situation the OP has a choice and should sit with her kids. Anything else is irresponsible and potentially unsafe. It's a flight not a merry go round and the kids don't get a say in it.

Actually, I think sit them wherever you prefer as long as you don’t mind them being bellowed at by the person in front when they are too fidgety or squabbling loudly. It feels like an abdication of parental responsibility.

We do 3 kids and DH

I generally get given a seat a few rows back!! No idea how this happens every time!! DH not a happy bunny, but needs must.
