Making a list of all the things we need to take to Center Parcs. Me, DH, and two young teens.
We’ve been before but it was years ago.
I seem to remember needing stuff like extra dishwasher tablets and more loo roll.
Has anyone got a list they are willing to share please?

Placemarking as we are going tomorrow!
I am taking a few extra dishwasher tablets and towels for the pool as I dont think you are allowed to take the towels from the lodges into the pool

Urgh2019 · 07/04/2019 10:38

I was only here to say lube....(shuffles away)

Lots of money 😂
Towels for the pool
If you're not going for a shop when you get there then make sure you take coffee, tea, sugar, toilet roll, maybe some salt and pepper etc. There is an Aldi and a Morrisons (and something else but I can't remember what) nearby.
They have log burners in every cabin so if you want to use them take your own logs, they are extortionate to buy there. There is a home bargains or something similar close by aswell where you can buy them cheap.
They do give you dishwasher tabs as far as I can remember but take a few extra and fairy liquid.

I have a big Tupperware we keep packed for any self-catering place. It has 2 cloths, a teatowel, veg peeler, decent knife, dishwasher tabs, laundry tabs, spare universal sink/bath plug. We also take a bottle of washing up liquid (can use to clean surfaces as well as dishes), 4 pack of loo roll, mini first aid kit. Slightly more niche is a pillow and blanket or duvet because I'm mildly allergic to feathers, and severely allergic to the washing detergent that Center Parcs uses.

Bird food, big pans or wok as they only have little pans, sharp knife, pasta and pasta sauce for quick meal, you can’t use any other logs but the ones you buy there so don’t bring your own, washing up liquid and loo roll, dishwasher tabs, wine, beer, juice, basically everything you like to eat as the shop is expensive.as is eating out. Soap etc - have fun!

Aw, and I was going to suggest KY jelly! 😂

If it’s anything like the Dutch ones, loads of storage for your clothes - I take foldable hangers, pop up soft boxes and those wardrobe organisers which you can hang from a peg

There is no additional lamp in the lounge and I find the overhead one not right for reading so I take a little lamp. And I also take a throw for on the sofa at night.

And wellies. Great for avoiding nettles.

Torch

I take my slow cooker. Usually we are exhausted after an action packed day so we don't want to go out and nobody wants to cook (and their restaurants are awful) so I leave something in the slow cooker whilst we're out. Alternatively take decent fresh pizzas, potatoes to do jackets, those M&S or Waitrose cook in the tray thinks etc and things to pick at.

Bird / squirrel food, insect repellent and pool towels. Never taken any cleaning items with me as they were already there. Money seems to be the main thing, book activities for the stay upon arrival otherwise really it's just the pool and walks. Eating out is costly too but I don't feel like it's a holiday if I'm cooking and cleaning anyway.

Thanks all, some great suggestions
