Little victories that give you pleasure (lighthearted)

Does anyone else have little victories that they have over someone, that the person doesn’t, or will never know about?

Whenever my husband is getting on my nerves and i offer to make a cup of tea, I always put the milk in first.
Also if I’m serving up dinner, i ‘accidentally’ dip his fork handle in the sauce or gravy so it gets on his hands.

Anyone else? Or am I just weird?

My brother was the sporty one i the family and also the funny one. I was the quiet bookworm.

On holiday in France we stopped for a break on a day out and there was a place that hired kayaks for 30 mins a time and we both asked to have a go.

I'd actually been kayaking with the girl guides so I knew how to turn, I didn't realise my brother was copying me until I heard the splash and heard my mum shouting, "get the kayak, it's floating away".

I'm going to try those tips - especially the egg tip

Coldhandscoldheart · 07/04/2019 06:40

@Happynow001 forget about the glass, empty the hot water out of the pan, shoogle the eggs round to crack them & run cold water in over the top. Exactly the same effect, no extra utensils.

Getting an apology from someone very senior to me when she questioned a decision I'd made that meant I had to spend money. Turned out shed ok'd all the decisions that necessitated me spending.

Beating other drivers off the lights. I think I'm on the grid every single time! I don't speed - I just have to have the quickest reaction time!

Thanks @Coldhandscoldheart

Seeing that the salon where I got my hair butchered last year had shut down.

I felt a bit bad as the stylist in question was lovely and friendly, but this didn't make up for having to wear grips for six months.

@dictionarycorners - sorry only just seen your comment.
Because it’s seen as a girly hobby I’m afraid. He is only one of one or two boys at the lessons. Never mind that almost all top jockeys are male. Unfortunately he does get bullied a lot for not conforming to the stereotypical male - short hair, likes football etc - at secondary.
