Going from single tax claim to not needing to claim?

Moving in with Dp in a months time. I currently claim tax credits as a single parent. He earns too much for us to do a joint claim.
What do I have to tell them? Will they want all his details? Will I have to put a joint claim in even though we aren’t entitled?

Tell them your circumstances have changed and you no longer wish to claim.

They got properly stroppy with me in exactly the same situation because they wanted to know my partner's income for a fresh claim. In the end I let them send a claim form out and binned it.

Then the overpayment letters started. So if you're stopping in a month's time you may have an overpayment because it's worked out over the year or something. I would personally not spend April's tax credits.

Urghhh that’s what I’m worried about. How much would the overpayment be 😩

Has for council tax they have just messed be about and we still waiting for a bill for me and partner. After loads of phone calls and emails they still sent me a reduced bill has if I was on my own. Still waiting....

Just this month from the next tax year?

It'll be from the date you move in. I tried telling them the day before that my partner was moving in but they said to phone back on the day he moves in so it was from that date they are using if they are any over payments. I used to get paid weekly and had a payment while he was living with me because they already processed it on their end so that will be a overpayment I'm just waiting for the bill. Iv just put it to the side for when it arrives.

Well it won't be that much, the tax years just started. Honestly don't worry about it.

I quit my claim in the September. The swines wanted 800 quid back from what I'd had up till then.
