Lets talk about photos

I am finally getting round to organising 10 years of photographs to print and frame. I have limited places to have standalone ones so most will have to go in frames on the wall.

How do you display yours? How many wedding photos have you framed? I need inspiration!

Ahh, do you sit there and read? Lovely little nook for it.

Yep, this is MY space

I have a big montage on the wall which is the same colour frames but all different sizes. Then in other rooms just one or two pictures.

We have 1 wedding photo up. We have picture shelves from ikea in our dining room, and a few areas of family ones up around the house (eg landing/ hall etc). A few nice black and white ones of the dc in the lounge. I get photos printed every month or so with a free app and put the key ones straight into albums, with dates/locations etc. as well as I like to have a tangible photo to look at. Need to do the last 6 months worth though

I'm a photographer and have hundreds especially of the kids but only have a few framed and on display, there's a couple of A4 sized ones on the sideboard and a collage on the living room wall.

I also have a landscape one and a stag that I took.

The Range do nice frames and they're quite cheap.

Fantasisa · 03/04/2019 13:48

@thenewaveragebear1983 - that sounds organised!

Gerties, I've got a couple from The Range online actually and I agree that they are decent prices.

Our walls are made of titanium or something and it's next to impossible to hang pictures without getting the hammer drill out so we only have a few frames and (whispers because it's a dirty word on here) canvases on the wall. We have a couple on the fireplace and some more on the shelf above the tv. For the rest, and there are hundreds of them because I do it as a hobby, I put them into photo albums and write a little note next to each one saying who it is, where they were, what they were doing and when it was taken. They're in the shelf and the children and visitors just look through them whenever they fancy.

Fantasisa · 03/04/2019 14:37

We do not have any photo albums which I think is a shame. I like the idea of people flicking through with captions.

They did sell them in B&Ms for about a fiver but they seem to have stopped stocking them so I've ended up having to pay more for them online (the only other shop I've seen them in is WHSmiths and I refuse to pay £16 or whatever for them). I use the Freeprints app and get them delivered to my door for just a few quid.

Weaselking What a fabulous nook!! I would never come out of there.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 03/04/2019 16:54

I ordered mine from amazon, they were about £6 each but they have the film sticky covers (not flip pockets) which I prefer. And they look like very posh leather bound encyclopaedias they don't
