Is there any way I can sue housing association re not dealing with aggressive neighbours

I live in housing association flats and the neighbours directly opposite me are a nightmare. Very loud, banging doors and talking loudly in the corridor outside my flat at 2 or 3 in the morning regularly. Also prone to outbursts where they scream threats at other neighbours about stabbing them. I've complained to the housing association for about 6 months now, recorded as much as possible and sent it to the housing association. My dd is taking A levels but can't get a decent nights sleep. We're both very anxious and stressed. I'm trying to organise a move to a private rented flat. However, I'm extremely annoyed that the housing association haven't dealt with this neighbour, as on their website it says they won't tolerate aggressive behaviour or constant disturbances.

They have finally got an injunction against her, but only the last week and still nothing is happening, despite the police being here several times a week.

Is there anything I can do?

I guess sue was a bit over the top ... I'm just so fed up of us having no peace and struggling to sleep. Especially for my daughter who is so stressed because of A levels.

She does use ear phones but the shouting and banging is so loud it still wakes her up .. think shouting repeatedly at the top of their voices all swear words you can think of on and on ... I can't understand how they don't realise other people are trying to sleep.

But yes I realise there is probably nowhere else for them to go.

I'm having to be very careful because I don't want them to find out I've reported or called the police as I believe we'd be in danger then. My dd carries a rape alarm at all times.

I used to practise Housing Law, and once successfully got a tenant of a housing association compensated for failing to ensure that my client had quiet enjoyment of their home, which is a covenant in all tenancy agreements, either written expressly or otherwise.

The HA were aware of the antisocial neighbor but failed to deal with them in a timely way, added to that my client was vulnerable as a result of her mental health.

If the HA is doing everything they can and in a timely way, it may be difficult to get much more done.

The injunction / eviction process for social housing is very longwinded.
It’s actually very difficult to get an injunction so that’s one positive for the HA. As well as contacting the Police are you contacting the HA to inform them of the breaches of injunction? They will be able to take the injunction back to court for breaches, which could then lead to eviction. Do you know if the injunction has power of arrest attached?
It’s so frustrating for you, I appreciate that, but there will be work going on in the background. The key thing is recording, reporting and making a statement if requested.

I work in a local authority and we struggle to get people to make statements, which really ties our hands in taking issues to court.

Op that sounds so stressful, omg.

I am always reluctant to complain about anti social tenants (I have had several with various degrees of nightmarish proportions, though never been threatened ) because I have no idea where they would go if they were ever evicted Confused.

We used to have loads of hostels here but they are all gone and shop doorways in the town centre have replaced them.

I know where they are housed next, is not really my problem but I have to think that hopefully things will change, but I don't know how.
