Do men poo more often than women?

Conversation with male colleagues at work. He was adamant that men need to go for a poo more than women.
I am as regular as clockwork and go twice a day. No need for more unless just before a period or heavy night.
I was listening to Women’s Hour over the weekend (about women and pain) and the guest was talking about women’s bodies being governed by hormones. Whereas men’s bodies aren’t. Just struck me that all those builders that poo in MN loos might not see it as odd that they need to poo throughout the day.
Anyone with lots of men in the family care to confirm or deny his theory?

Seems a bit of a funny subject to be discussing with male colleagues, but maybe I'm out of touch 😬 😬 Anyway yes, I think they do go more. On the poo subject, these men that are in there ages sounds revolting. Same as having having magazines in the loo and sitting there for ages reading. Yuk really turns my stomach. Actually it's about the only thing I am pleased about my partner, he don't hang about (having a poo) or it would be a deal breaker! (Yes I am being serious!) Btw I don't hang about either, if I can't go straight away I wait til later.

I think yes. My husband goes multiple times daily I might only go every few days, not usually every day certainly not multiple times

Well men usually eat more so it makes sense.

I've absolutely no idea when or how often anyone in my family goes. And I'd hope they don't know how often I go either.

I wouldnt have a clue how often DH goes/day - i don't monitor his toilet habits 😳 Never discussed with workmates either!

EngagedAgain Not a troll or Fail. We work together all day in a quite testosterone led environment. No end to the personal and intrusive conversations we have everyday!

I didn’t actually think men did go more than women but now I think some women do eat very little so they probably average less..I’m amazed that some of you go days without a poo. And possibly jealous ;must save a fortune in loo roll.

Mostly once a day but then if Ibs is playing up can be up to 4time a day.

Bluevelvet- only just got back to the thread. No sorry I didn't think that at all, I was just a bit bemused by it, but expect things have changed! Funnily enough on another thread someone mentioned there's a poo troll on here.
