what vegetarian nibbles would you get for a picnic?

Exactly that really. We are going to take mum for picnic today. Mum is vegetarian. My brother has got bits and bobs but has text me asking if I can pick up some vegetarian bits. I'm thinking some fruit, maybe cheese rolls. What else?

I was actually thinking about vegetable samosas. Can they be eaten uncooked?

If you go to a Sainsbury’s or Asda with a pizza counter they normally cook them and you can eat cold.
I also like olives, sundried tomatoes, cous cous, pasta salad type stuff
Crisps and dips
Hoummus and crudités /breadsticks
Cheese, I am a particular fan of Boursin, mexicana cheddar (Waitrose do a Red Leicester version but it’s very sweet) and a Wensleydale with cranberry
Biscuits
Fruit
Fairy cakes

Enjoy your picnic

Holly I used get the M&S samosas all the time when I worked opposite I don’t think I have ever cooked one - I’m sure they are fine cold

M&S have a lovely veggie samosa that you can eat straight out of the packet

Be wary of the Quorn scotch eggs they very recently made my sister (a newly converted veggie) vomit her brains out. Apparently, some people are intolerant to it.

Spanish omelette, olives, falafel, cold pizza, arancini.

I refuse to hear a word against Quorn Scotch eggs
