My baby is growing faster than I can buy clothes for him!
I did start off spending a fair bit until I realised he gets 1 weeks wear out if everything !

I've been surprised by how nice the clothes are in Asda - my 3-month-old son has had a few items from there.

Most of the other stuff has been Next, John Lewis, or M&S. M&S stuff is larger than other shops' equivalent sizes, which is useful as my baby is very long!

I tried Aldi and was unimpressed - washed very badly.

I have a lot of hand-me-downs, as my two closest friends both had babies in the year before I did. I've been pleasantly impressed by the White Company items and might try to pick up more in the sales. One pal passed on a lot of Polarn o Pyret and it really isn't to my taste - it all looks ugly and is fiddly to operate.

Supermarkets mainly. Kids clothes are pretty much the only reason I check the next sale as you can get good bits(unlike the adult clothes where they drag all the crap out they couldn't sell in the previous 9 sales out)

I find asda really good and the brand at sainsbury's.
My 8 month old boy is growing so quick so to save money I go on shpock for second hand. I got 9 bottoms and 8 tops for £5. And they are in excellent condition so pleased with my bargain.

If you are finding the budget tight charity shops. I'd just buy detol laundry sanitiser or 60 hot wash.

Charity shops
I earn over £100k but see charity shops as a good form of recycling. Babies don't wear things for long so it's mostly in mint condition and when my kids have outgrown them I give them back to the charity shop.

I'm afraid I go crazy on the children's clothes but then I do sell them on email so people get some great bargains!

Farmerswifey12 · 31/03/2019 09:08

General things like sleepsuits and socks from supermarket. For nice items for goung out and about I tend to use debenhams, mothercare, next and M&S.

Shmithecat2 · 31/03/2019 09:10

When he was a baby, John Lewis, M&S, Next. He's 3.5y now, and it's mainly H&M - they have 20% of kids clothes at the moment (KIDS20).

Morrison's, don't even do the food shop there I just like their baby and toddler clothes. Also like H&M and Matalan is good for cheap and cheerful for nursery. I then buy higher end brand stuff that he doesn't need but looks very nice second hand, either ebay or marketplace on Facebook. I also do this for any stupid days at nursery or Halloween/Christmas when I can't face spending £10+ on something he'll wear for three hours.
