DH and I have decided to create a movie night with the children (all teens to 21)

Tonight we are going to watch Casablanca or Some like it hot.

What classic films do you feel are " must watch?"

I introduced my two to 80s films, and they love Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Not sure it's a classic, mind.

hugoagogo · 30/03/2019 18:15

Some Like it Hot is perfect.
I have taught dd well and she introduces all her friends to Singing in the Rain.Grin

  • ET for sure!
  • Jurassic Park when they are a bit bigger.
  • Father of the Bride (90’s version)
  • Schindlers List (when they are old enough to understand - the Holocaust is a very important part of our family history unfortunately. I’d rather them watch it with me and ask questions that I can answer properly than leave their holocaust education to a chapter in a history textbook at school)

DH watched Shaun of the dead and Monty Python and the holy grail with 13 year old DD when her little brothers were off on sleepovers and I was out.

Those are quite good ones.

ET and Home Alone for slightly younger children.

blueskiesovertheforest · 30/03/2019 18:38

I've never watched Casablanca myself - it doesn't appeal.
