How many would you expect to receive as a starter?

Thank you. I'll do that.i was just about to ask the best place to get them from and Costco sounds perfect. The bigger the bag the better.

Spriggy, I’m sorry. After I posted I did think to myself that I could have worded that more sensitively.

Buy yourself a big bag and have as many as you want ❤️

SpriggyTheHedgehog · 28/03/2019 23:09

It's fine, Flower. I'm happy for you, though not as happy as I'll be for myself once I get to Costco and fill my face with as many mozzarella sticks as I want.

Flower777
Where did you get them??? Suddenly I’m hungry

Personally I usually go for the £1 a bag ones from Iceland so would be disappointed with any less than 12!

CherryPavlova · 28/03/2019 23:22

I think I’d rather eat pickled sea slugs than go to anywhere that felt it
was acceptable to serve ‘ mozzarella sticks’!

SpriggyTheHedgehog · 28/03/2019 23:39

What's wrong with mozzarella sticks?

OP posts:
SpriggyTheHedgehog · 28/03/2019 23:40

They are the food of the Gods.

I used to go to a restaurant years ago which served a deep fried mozzarella sandwich. It was kind of amazing.

CherryPavlova · 29/03/2019 00:09

I mistakenly thought they were deep fried, breadcrumb coated lumps of mozzarella. Grim pre packaged beige food. Obviously I’m wrong and they are something more. I’m thInking cheap chains but am willing to be persuaded.

raeray · 29/03/2019 00:25

Cherry - that's exactly the wonderful thing they are!

SpriggyTheHedgehog · 29/03/2019 00:34

They're delicious pre packaged breadcrumb coated lumps of mozzarella and it isn't just cheap chains that sell them. This was a pretty pricy independent grill restaurant.(Hence why I'm especially pissed off at only receiving two of them. Although TBH I wouldn't be happy with that in Prezzo either.)

I can't believe someone is being a snob over mozzarella sticks. 😂😂😂

HotChocolateLover · 29/03/2019 08:39

I was kind of like that the other day when we ordered onion rings and 4 turned up. I was like ‘errr...where’s the rest??’ 😂😂 Shouldn’t really complain as the meals were two for £7.99 and mine was actually really nice. Definitely going back.

CherryPavlova · 29/03/2019 08:50

I remain unconvinced, on balance.
Now yesterday my starter was local mackerel fillet with a rhubarb jam and orange marinated fennel shavings. I’m not especially wanting those cheese sticks.
Isn’t mozarella better with heritage tomato’s , olives and basil oil?

SpriggyTheHedgehog · 29/03/2019 09:10

Nothing is better with tomatoes. Tomatoes are evil.(Unless made into a sauce)

SpriggyTheHedgehog · 29/03/2019 09:12

In acknowledgement of your superior choices in food would you like your medal now or sent in the post?

OP posts:
QuestionableMouse · 29/03/2019 09:20

See I think your starter sounds vile Cherry. Each to their own eh?

iwantatattoo · 29/03/2019 09:23

Are you going to leave them a review on trip advisor op?
I'd be annoyed at stingy portions too.

Grin at cherrypavlova's starter boast!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 29/03/2019 09:32

I love a "look how posh I am" boast with atrocious grammar.

CherryPavlova · 29/03/2019 15:29

Hardly a boast. Mackerel isn’t exactly high end, is it?

Snobbishness about food, no. I don’t think defining deep fried mush as something that is unappealing and of very limited nutritional value is snobbery. It sounds akin to chicken nuggets.

IHaveBrilloHair · 29/03/2019 15:42

I've never been hugely keen on tomato's, but I do love a mozzarella stick or 20 Wink

SneakyGremlins · 29/03/2019 15:46

But chicken nuggets are also delicious Grin

I can beat you all. On holiday in Germany I was served EIGHT mozzarella sticks!

PhilomenaButterfly · 29/03/2019 15:47

8 but I'm greedy.

SpriggyTheHedgehog · 29/03/2019 15:56

Screw the medal. A shrine seems more fitting. Perhaps of a very tall horse..

I eat mackerel. I also eat mozzarella sticks and enjoy both. Believe it or not it is possible. And if you're going to be an insufferable snob at least own it.
