My mum is on her way to a&e because of pain all down the side/back of her head. She's been seen by a GP who wants her to have a scan because they don't know what it is!

All I keep thinking about is some sort of aneurysm or stroke (both have happened before in our family). I'm really worried!!

Been thinking of you. Hope all is as well as possible.

Thank you. No news yet but I'm going to ring at 8 to see what's going on.

I hope everything's OK, QM.

Just spoke to her and she's still waiting to see a doctor. They still have no idea what it is but she has a temp still.

Basically her head came up in a lump behind/above her ear. That's gone but now that area is weeping and she still had a headache and temperature. She's panicking because she has lymphedemaon her legs so has convinced herself it's that in her head.

I hope she's been seen now, and they know what's going on and how to fix it. Hugs.

She's staying in again tonight. She said it was rheumatoid something in her head and she has to have a biopsy/op and a scan. So at least we know what it is and they have a plan to start treatment but I'm still so bloody worried. ☹️

At least they have a way forward. Hope you feel better and can see her soon.

flitwit99 · 27/03/2019 14:38

Glad you have some news, and hopefully a plan of action

QuestionableMouse · 27/03/2019 17:46

Thanks. It's temporal arthritis (I think) which I'm not googling but I've heard isn't the best thing to have. She is okay but we're all still worried.
