Would you take 3 children between the ages of 7-11 to a rock/electronic concert?

I'm planning to go to a gig in London in the summer but the DC really want to go (to London and supposedly the concert too). We live a 6hr drive away and it seems selfish not to take them... DP wants to come to see the band too, but I'm unsure if it's the best place for three children...

I would with ear defenders, but then my DC have already seen the Foo Fighters & Queen. This year we're off to Bon Jovi.

We've always been in the seated area with them though.

I wouldn't because of the 'lines in the bathroom' and because you want to go down the front and leave your DP watching three DCs. If you were both going to watch them and if there wasn't an issue with drugs in the toilets then I'd say yes.

Kudos to your kid wanting to see the chems!

I would take them.

Intrigued as to who you're going to see....

DD has been going to large concerts with me from 7 or 8 - but mainly things more like Take That and Robbie Williams. She has always enjoyed them over the years, and been many others too over time, but nothing like what is described whilst small. She saw drinking, and people looking worse for wear (when smaller she'd say they looked poorly) through drink being carted out - she could never understand why anyone would get themselves ill and missed most of the concert that cost loads to go to, she still can't tbh.

She's since seen drugs - smoked, pills - at concerts, and heard about lines being taken. But she's a teen now and understands what's going on and what/who too aid. But even as a teen she keeps back out of it - she's there for music and atmosphere rather than being up front of those types of concerts. She also didn't appreciate the student behind her throwing up down her shoes due to his overindulgent on drugs! But as I said - that's as a teenager, not aged 7-11y.

No because of the drugs thing.
That's just not appropriate.
Shame really as otherwise I'd say go for it.

BiscuitDrama · 26/03/2019 19:32

Won’t they be too short to see?

LiquoriceLane · 26/03/2019 19:32

No I wouldn't. Not with what you describe about drug use.

Needadoughnut · 26/03/2019 19:32

We're seeing Cut Copy an Aussie band with almost cult following.
