Went to boots today for some toothpaste and came out with 3 shower gels, all new scents. I have this obsession where I have to buy any new shower gels, so I now have 13 shower gels in my cupboard just because. There was even another one I saw on the way out but had to rush so will get it tomorrow.
Anyone else got crazy obsession?

Fluffy 'eyelash' cardigans and jumpers from Everything5pound. Have so many now, they're stuffed into 3 of those massive zip up ikea plastic storage bags and shoved under the bed. DH will have a fit when we move house next year n sees them all! Ive got this need to feel super snuggly with cozy knitwear since going through the menopause, not sure if this is a thing. The bigger n baggier the better. Would get a long haired cat instead but DH and 2 of the DCs are allergic to.

I hear you on the shower gel obsession OP, though I've moved to soap now. The annoying thing is they last so long I don't get to use them up as quick, so I have a huge stash.

gummywitch · 27/03/2019 22:47

I really get the shower gel obsession though. My stash started after sniffing the Treacle Moon cinammon one at Christmas. I need them in every fragrance now.

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 28/03/2019 00:05

The perfect grey cashmere crew neck jumper. It's my white whale.

Deathraystare · 28/03/2019 07:45

Pens, notebooks etc. You can never have enough pens...well, alright, you can! After a bit of a tidy up I seem to have rather a lot of pens.....

What I need is more eyebrow pencils. This morning it took an age to find one. Loads of eyeliner pens (in not eyebrow friendly colours - unless it is ok to have purple brows!!). I must get more.

Oh and every new year I go mad for diaries. Why do I need more than one? I always end of losing one or two anyway.

Cotton sheets and pillowcases. Must be deep fitted sheets.

As a recovering hoarder, I have stopped buying a lot of stuff as using what I have first.

MrsCasares · 28/03/2019 11:30

Pens

Handbags

WTFIsAGleepglorp · 28/03/2019 11:34

Beauty items - recent (and unnecessary) purchase was the premium 50+ day and night Lacura creams from Aldi.

Cross stitch stuff. Loads of it. I have a hoard. 😳

FloofyDoof · 28/03/2019 13:57

Skincare. I am working my way through the embarrassing amount of jars and potions I've collected before I buy anything else, unless it's an essential replacement.

Scented candles, my flat is tiny, there are candles everywhere. DD loves a scented candle too, so there are often several different scents burning around the place, but I do own the world's fartiest cat so they are often necessary.

Tea. Teapots. Infusers. Mugs. And coffee stuff too but not as much. I had to put up an extra (long) shelf in the kitchen to store all my tea and coffee related stuff. I am the only one who drinks tea, at least DD and DS both drink coffee.

I am reducing the amount of "stuff" we have as much as possible lately. We live in a small flat, me and my 2 young adult DC (they're in single size bedrooms with minimal room for any storage, so I have a huge wardrobe in my room for everyone's clothes, plus storage boxes and vacuum bags on top for summer/winter clothes and bedding swaps), and it's feeling quite cramped.

FloofyDoof · 28/03/2019 13:58

Oh god yes, cross stitch stuff and yarn for knitting/crochet too Blush

Wobblebeans · 28/03/2019 14:14

Cross stitch stuff, specifically fabric.
My latest one was delivered this morning Blush
In my defence, it's for a very large project and I've been searching for months for a piece of fabric big enough

Oh, and books, lots of books

KeptTheBeachesShipwreckFree · 28/03/2019 14:46

Pretty charity shop vases. I then buy single flowers to put in them so I can take photos of them.

Time40 · 28/03/2019 15:04

Proper ribbon for using on presents.

Pretty vintage china dishes.

Vintage threads, cottons and trims.

Vintage earrings.

Easter chicks.

handslikecowstits · 28/03/2019 15:12

Toilet rolls.

Fuck knows...

Ivegotthree · 28/03/2019 15:12

Books, cashmere jumpers, and dolly mixture.

But mainly books. I buy them faster than I can read them and go off them a bit if I don't start reading them the day they arrive from Amazon.

MrsPlesWearsAFez · 28/03/2019 15:19

Houseplants & books

Pandoraslastchance · 28/03/2019 15:23

Random shite on aliexpress. Mainly pens, washi tape and stickers.

I browse when I'm struggling to get to sleep and end up ordering stuff then forgetting about it as it takes a while to arrive.

TeaForTheWin · 28/03/2019 15:30

Definitely socks, but the ones with little cute animals on them. Handbags too.

PH03b3 · 28/03/2019 18:39

"stuff" in general not sure what i spend all my money on but i certainly do!

Redcrayons · 28/03/2019 18:44

This thread is bad for me. You've reminded me I haven't had a new nail varnish for a while and I'm down to my last pack of three aldi scented candles. And you can never have enough tea lights.

Add red jumpers to my list, realised this morning that I probably have more than is entirely necessary.

Justhadathought · 28/03/2019 18:46

Fit flops.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 28/03/2019 18:50

Spices... My spice racks take up half a wall Blush I'm a total sucker for them. I do use them though...

CharDeeMacDennis · 28/03/2019 18:50

Mugs - still searching for the perfect one, though have many that I do love

PJ bottoms - actually think this one is resolved now, Fat Face men's - amazing

Cashmere jumpers and cardigans - also possibly resolved, also Fat Face, got 2 x perfect, gorgeous v-neck sweaters and 3 x perfect cardis this winter - have been in constant rotation since bought

lotusbell · 28/03/2019 18:53
