Has things ever worked out well long term with a guy who said he wasn't looking for anything serious on the first date?

I know it's very rare for people to change their minds but it does occasionally happen.

Tell me your stories of any such incidents working out and what you thought the trigger was :) thank you.

Met up for a drink while she was seeing two other guys and was planning on indulging her curiosity about me, nothing else. I'd come out of an intense relationship and just wanted human touch to break out the depression, nothing serious at all.

Been together 8 wonderful years.

Dh was a one night stand I was friends with his sister I fully expected it to go no where but he got in contact a couple of days later and we have never really been apart since ,14 years and two kids later here we are ,having said that I wasted years on men who said they didn't want anything serious and they didn't !

I was looking for someone to go on dates with, theatre, meals etc. After coming out of a 30 year Marriage that got ugly st the end and I’d said never again.

Yes. Started out as a one night stand when we met in a nightclub, and we've been together for 20 years now, married for 15, with three children.
