Secret Cinema - Can anyone help narrow this place down?

Hi,

I've booked tickets to go the Casino Royale secret cinema in June. We will be travelling quite a way and need to book a hotel for the night. Obviously the location is a secret until closer to the event but there is a clue on the website to help you book the right area. All timings are for the Underground from these stations to the station nearest the venue:

Liverpool St - 35 minutes
London Bridge - 40 minutes
Oxford Circus - 45 minutes
Kings Cross / St Pancras 45 minutes

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

it is like you step into the film.

thanks for sharing that Vimeo tippy - that looks amazing....I would definitely go to Moulin Rouge - not sure about a Bond night though - less my bag!

Kennehora Grin

Have a look at Romford or other surrounding areas for hotels Nextyear as there’s not many nearby. Dagenham East will be the nearest station & the East London gentrification hasn’t got here yet!

As PP said I’m intrigued at how they’ll do it & looking forward to seeing all the spies & Bond girls traipsing down from the station. I went to the Dirty Dancing one a couple of years ago & thought it was brill but I’m not a massive Bond fan so didn’t fancy this.

on the back of this thread I've just signed up for the mailing list for secret cinema - is there usually just 1 or 2 a year? I can see it is a massive undertaking... Also, is it just the one company that does them or are there others imaginatively named like secret cine?! Grin

We've been going to the 'big' ones for the last four years (Star Wars, 28 days later, moulin rouge, bladerunner) and have loved every single one. We went to moulin rouge twice Smile (I took my mum the second time because I knew she'd love it). You will get told the meeting point nearer the time and should be able to book somewhere then. We're going later in the summer. They are always AMAZING nights - Enjoy!

just google secret cinema. its not a cheap night, but when you`re there you see why. i think its one company. dh and I think they should do the greatest showman.

wibbleee · 22/03/2019 20:49

for moulin rouge the first part of the evening was set in the streets/ bars. I do remember thinking is this it? where will the screen be? THEN we led into the moulin rouge dance hall. and its exactly like the film set of it. its very well done. you can change your assigned character or as I did just make up your own personna for the night. have fun with it. i was talking to people and I really don`t know to this day were they others playing along and immersing themselves or were they some of the actors/ staff mingling. everyone was in on it. so be who you want to be .

It might be down to the type of feet she has. If she has high arches and a beautiful banana shaped flexible foot then it may take her much longer to build up the strength needed for pointe.

It could be down to so many things.

Comefromaway · 22/03/2019 20:59

Sorry wrong thread (caused by some Vodafone pop up)

sackrifice · 22/03/2019 21:02

Proper loled there. Great interjection.

Angelf1sh · 22/03/2019 21:02

Oh god I hope it’s not in Dagenham, that’s going to be a complete pain in the arse to get home from.

Hi Nextyear
Have you been to Secret Cinema Casino Royale yet?
I am due to go tomorrow Sun 9th June @ 4pm but when I look online at Universal Exports, it says Wed 5th June @ 5.45pm - is that a deliberate ploy? Where do I find the secret location and meeting point + arrival time? Getting desperate now - needless to say if I dont find out I wont be able to go. Have contacted SC but am none the wiser they sent me a link which just shows the wrong date.
Thank you so much.

Ladybird6 · 08/06/2019 22:33

Or can anyone else help please?

LittleLongDog · 08/06/2019 22:38

Surely they would have told you by now?!

You might have better luck starting your own thread.

cannycat20 · 08/06/2019 23:57

You could try www.traveltimeplatform.com/travel-time-maps but as I've only used it for rural areas I'm not sure how good it'll be for London...
