Why do people have to fuck up perfectly good conversations?

Chatting with a colleague, I was theorising about taking over the world (as you do) and what would happen were I to be arrested.

He came out with, 'don't drop the soap.'

My response was to send him a link to Just Detention International and explain that rape jokes aren't funny.

Oh, but it's okay because it's only a saying and I know it still happens. Hmm

Grrrrrr. Angry How do I respond to that without using fuck a million times? I'm ignoring him at the moment, I want to verbally eviscerate him!

Perhaps it was a genuine warning.

You sound like a right laugh.

malpa · 20/03/2019 19:21

I think you kind of ruined the conversation already by talking about your arrest while theorising about taking over the world...

nombrecambio · 20/03/2019 19:32

Maybe he finds jokes about despots distasteful.

Nicknacky · 20/03/2019 19:33

What an over reaction.

spanishwife · 20/03/2019 19:35

Yeah doesn't sound like a great conversation to begin with op

NiteFlights · 20/03/2019 19:56

At least nobody mentioned Brexit.

Hellbentwellwent · 20/03/2019 20:00

Your definition of a perfectly good conversation here is where it all started going wrong for you....

SurgeHopper · 20/03/2019 20:01

Crikey

Easterbunnyiscomingsoon · 20/03/2019 20:03

Maybe he meant it would be nicked.
