Baby/Toddler classes

My daughter is getting pretty rowdy at her baby sensory class. I wonder if I should be moving her up to the toddler version. I think she's probably slightly in between classes but I don't want to have a break between the baby class and the toddler class.

Would you try out the toddler class and see how it goes?

I'm thinking that being around older kids may actually be good for her development as I've realised she's always always around babies younger than her.

What does the leader say? How old is she?

merdde · 18/03/2019 13:31

The leader says to try it out and see. I just wondered what other people had done in the same instance. She's 14 months

Ahaha! Yep. I had this at baby signing. He was a little young for the toddler class, but started walking at 11 months and I was soon spending the whole class stopping him from trampling the immobile babies. The leader gently suggested he might be happier with the toddlers, and he is - much better for us both.

I think I'm going to try the next one up. He's always wanting to touch the younger babies and I don't think the other mums appreciate it too much! He's a big boy and I would hate it if he hurt a little one Shock

Is she walking? Ours either move up at 12 months or walking.

sar302 · 18/03/2019 14:23

That was partly our problem too, he's the same size and height as babies three months older than him. So he was starting to look seriously out of place, and was definitely becoming a hazard!
Definitely try the older group. I think it helps them to be with slightly older babies too, because they copy and learn new stuff :)

She's not walking yet...
