Tomy Hide and Squeak Eggs - both my kids have loved them from about 6 months. Still loving them at almost 4 years and counting!

For toddlers and preschoolers: blocks (e.g. Duplo), stacking toy, toy animals/people/vehicles, puzzles, some kind of physical toy (like a scooter or balance bike or trike or ride-on toy), a ball.

Galt pop-up toy is great too, around about the same ages.

Cardboard box.
No need for plastic or expensive noisy flashy toys. A £2.99 box from b&q kept
My 18month old and 9 year old very happy for hours

Sand, water, Lego or equivalent, something with wheels, something that floats, paper and paint, sometgibg that makes music.

Stompythedinosaur · 18/03/2019 12:03

I would say bike, scooter, lego and some small world stuff for my dds (6 and 7). Plus craft materials.

Catscratchclub · 18/03/2019 12:17

Second all the ones mentioned above:

Jumparoo, Lego, role play toys, cardboard box, maybe some musical instruments if you can bare it, craft things.
