What interests me about this case is that the police have repeatedly said that key information has been withheld from them by people who know or strongly suspect something, and this is why it hasn’t been solved.

So there are people going about their lives, shopping, going on holidays, eating dinner, whatever, who have knowledge about a murder. I can just about fathom turning a blind eye to an affair or a theft or something but a murder? Just who would do this?! Even if you were a wronged wife or something and hated her as the OW, would you really help cover up her murder?

I just cannot stretch my brain to understand this.

I also remember reading and thought she was seen walking to work. Is that not true?

Crunchymum · 02/06/2019 22:10

It's a travesty - reading through her case - how her character has been bought into such disrepute.

Police took sheets from the pub (according to one of the articles I read)..... the insinuation is appalling and I'm so glad that arsehole detective (Galloway [sp]) was removed from the case.

The case of CL is victim blaming at its very worst.

Just to echo what NotNowMrTumnus said - it's really fine to discuss a case like this, but let's try to remember the family involved and how they might feel if they came across the thread.

We've removed a couple of posts for "speculation" so that's the thing to avoid if possible. Thank you for reading Smile.

Just really coming on here to say I hope the family finally get some answers for Claudia with the latest searches. Must be horrific for themSad

Somebody must know something. Its been twelve and a half years.

Felix125 · 25/08/2021 01:19

Its probably a case that say 10 people know what has happened and are keeping it to themselves. As time has gone on, 1 of those 10 may have fallen out with the others, or has had life changing news and has now come forward with information.

Hopefully it will bring closure at least for the family.
