Guinness is good when you are pregnant, the odd half wouldn't hurt anyway. That's not a pint.

She looks beautiful in her green outfit and when she met the Wolfhound and gave him a stick of shamrock and stroked him, my heart melted she seems such a lovely woman.

She needs of one of these in her other hand.

agreed OP. Nothing wrong with her HAVING a stomach but I don’t see why she has to TOUCH it so ostentatiously. Also I bet that Guinness wasn’t made by a traditional British designer, clearly the woman has NO shame.

Maybe she put the glass to her lips but did not actually drink/swallow the Guiness.
As a PP said pregnant women used to be given stout or Guiness or something every day as a tonic.

I'd say Kate is more of a Marlboro Lights girl.
Back in the day a drop of Guinness was supposedly good for a pregnant woman.
I can't stand the stuff myself even with blackcurrant in it.

In the 60s my mum was prescribed Guinness when pregnant with me to up her iron levels!

Proabably like our local in Bingley in the '70s, 'We don't serve ladies with pints!' He would give you two halves though. A lot of pubs then would not give a woman a handled glass, only straight sided glasses.

Why in the name of God's creation would anyone want a pint (or half) in a handled glass?

Real Drinkers use straight glasses!
