Couldn't see a thread and these are one of my little weekend pleasures.

After a busy few weekends we're making the most of a quiet one.

I'm just about to have a second cup of coffee before popping out for the weekend food shop. Dc are chilling out watching tv.

Back home in time for the rugby and hopefully to see Wales win a grand slam!

Housework this morning then relaxing on the sofa this afternoon. Burgers in buns and all the trimmings for tea. Weather atrocious and has been for days. I only plan to leave the house for things for tea.

CurlsandCurves · 16/03/2019 10:40

Just finishing yet another mug of coffee, then I’m going to do a bit of tidy and hoover, light some scented candles. I always like to have the house clean and tidy and cozy for a family Saturday night in.

Then, like Wonkylegs DS2 and I are going school shoe shopping. 2 pairs have already been returned as they were no good. DS2 has very narrow feet, he’s an adult size 8 and a width C. Absolute nightmare. Fortunately school are quite relaxed and we can get away with black trainers. I’ve always insisted on proper shoes but as he’s getting older and bigger but still so narrow it’s becoming impossible.

DS1 is out earning some pocket money by going to work with his dad. He thinks he wants to follow in his footsteps in terms of a career, so getting some work experience will help him decide if this is definitely the case.

Tonight we are all at home, so we are going to have a takeaway, not sure what kind yet.

SeaViewBliss · 16/03/2019 10:42

Busy one for us but all nice stuff. I was out of the house at 8.30 to take DS to the barber. Had a Costa breakfast and back home to get ready. Out for a big family lunch an hour away and then out for drinks with friends early evening. DD home from Uni for a few days so lis

SeaViewBliss · 16/03/2019 10:43

🙄 lots of catching up with DD and lots of hugs as she’s been a bit low recently.

ApolloandDaphne · 16/03/2019 10:47

Right now i am having a coffee but mostly I am cooking as i have 4 friends coming for dinner this evening. They live an hour away and it is snowing so i guess they might not make it. DH will be eating A LOT of food if they can't come!

Mmmhmmokdear · 16/03/2019 10:49

DH has taken the DC to his parents for the day.

I am spending the day studying, although I am planning on going on a run in a bit (when my Garmin has charged!)

I'm also going to make DH a surprise birthday cake ready for tomorrow.

FrannySalinger · 16/03/2019 10:53

Good luck ds of butmumineedit!

I am sat in the car waiting for dd to finish her riding lesson, then home via the paint shop to pick up supplies for dh who is decorating a spare bedroom. Late afternoon dd is off to a party so we are thinking about sloping off to the pub with the dog for a couple Grin

Dd back fed and ready for bed at 8. I am cooking a Thai prawn curry for me and dh. A lovely relaxed day (for a change!)

littlemeitslyn · 16/03/2019 10:53

Watching the snow

poodlewoodle · 16/03/2019 10:54

Up earlyish for big long rainy muddy walk with DDog now home and we shared peanut butter on toast. Rest of today tidying laundry and reading as we have house to ourselves.... perfect!

Veronicat · 16/03/2019 10:54

Waiting for the Asda order to arrive then I'll be making cinnamon oatbran muffins from the Dukan recipe page. God I've missed cake on this diet!! Then catch up with Shetland and filling in our marriage schedule and other wedding admin.

IndigoSpritz · 16/03/2019 10:58

Just done a spot of shopping, now having coffee in Wetherspoons. Need to do some more piano practice later and make a new batch of pizza dough. Special swimming at 5pm then an evening in.

stegosauruslady · 16/03/2019 11:01

Busy day today!

It was DD2's birthday this week so last night she had a friend to sleep over, this afternoon we are out with family for afternoon tea, then this evening she has some other friends over for pizza and a movie. DD1 is out tonight at a friend's house. DD3 and I are going to watch a different movie while I cuddle the baby.

At some point I will have to have a shower and get dressed I guess...DP is at work all weekend!

Namechange8471 · 16/03/2019 11:02

Working then chilling with the other half Smile

beenhereages1 · 16/03/2019 11:03

No much! All plans cancelled as DS2 is feeling rough. So quiet day for us. I'll probably try and get on top of the washing / ironing

Looking forward to a takeaway tonight though!

Ribbonsonabox · 16/03/2019 11:06

My DH is off work for once. We are just all watching CBeebies and having a long drawn out breakfast at the moment. Two children, 4yo and 7mnth old. We are going to have some lunch then we are going out to a museum my son likes for the afternoon because it's raining.

Figmentofimagination · 16/03/2019 11:22

Like beenhereages1 all our plans have been scrapped as DS is ill. I was supposed to have a lie in the morning, and DH was going to go out later to get a tire changed on my car and get his hair cut. Cleaning jobs were also going to be done and I was going to make an chicken and tomato soup.

Instead, I'm sat on the sofa with DS sat on me having a cuddle, and we're all watching toy story. We've all been up since 5:50, so if I can get DS to go down for a nap, I'll probably have one as well. And then DH can have one later. I'm still going to try and make the soup though.

GrumpyOldMare · 16/03/2019 11:26

Actually have a whole weekend off!
Been to Iceland, just waiting for them to deliver my shopping.
Quiet day till about 5ish,then off to some sort of ''Ball'' that my son's support group have organised.
Once home from that (hopefully not late) I'm curling up with a cup of tea and Amazon Prime.

Jenniferyellowcat · 16/03/2019 11:30

I am lying in bed with a shivery coughy virus on my birthday. On the plus side DH has taken the kids out all day. So after a sleep I may watch some old episodes of Neigbours on YouTube. I know how to celebrate!

thebear1 · 16/03/2019 11:33

Swim lesson done. Then have to go and buy bathroom tiles. Chinese later, Asda one as on a budget.

SomethingNastyInTheBallPool · 16/03/2019 11:43

Currently relaxing in the bath, having finished boring chores, while DP and DD are at speech therapy.
Will heave myself out shortly and get lunch ready for their return.

This afternoon we need to go to Costco to collect cake for DD’s party tomorrow (and get twelfty-million other — ahem — essentials, to christen our new freezer). Am hoping DP will take DD to nearby play centre so I can zip round on my own.

Tonight will be spent filling party bags and watching something calming on telly in preparation for soft play party mayhem tomorrow.

gingajewel · 16/03/2019 11:55

Up at 6.30 as dd2 has decided thatsbthe perfect time to get up and then went to aldi at 8.30 when it wasn’t Aldi mayhem! Oh is outside doing garden things and dd’s are making slime while I have a bath! Quiet day in the house today as it is windy and freezing! Then tonight is dd1 dance show, so excited for her!

NorthernPowermouse · 16/03/2019 12:06

Ds’s tennis lesson done, he and dp have now gone to the shop for lunch and tea things while dd naps. We’ll have lunch when they get back then I’ll make curry for tea and spag bol for Monday while the kids (hopefully) play nicely together. Footy / rugby will be on in the background. Hoping not to leave the house again as the weather’s shocking here.

Iamblossom · 16/03/2019 12:25

Not much as I have 4 broken ribs and a broken collar bone after a riding accident two weeks ago. In pain and feeling sorry for myself.

But will walk gingerly to the pub later for a glass of Wineand DH is making my favourite pulled pork ribs for tea. So not all bad.

maggienolia · 16/03/2019 12:32

Playing Hayday and have just cleared a dead mouse from the shed floor.
Just booked a tour of Holy Island for August holidays.
Going to buy a new squeegee for the shower later. And we"re having a takeaway tonight.

Iamblossom · 16/03/2019 12:36
